QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 10:37 PM) It's really difficult to keep yourself from thinking amazing things when a high schooler hits 3 bombs in his first 4 pro games. In my head I'm already thinking sign Paulie to one more 3 year deal and hope Barnum is ready for the show by 22 haha
-
Well if both Danks and Humber just need some rest to get better so be it. This division sucks if the team can just stay afloat getting those arms back, fresh and healthy that's a big boon to the team in the second half. Just need that offense to click again.
-
The Barnum-Hawkins combo is gonna be a fun watch hopefully.
-
Hahahah. WOW. Paulie's average has dropped, what like 50+ points in the 3 weeks? Honestly, when was the last time Konerko had a game winning hit? I really can't remember.

QUOTE (SouthSidePride05 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) Who has a better chance of a walk-off win.. us or Houston? Houston.
-
Ovah! The only question is does Greinke go for the 10 IP CG?
-
Extra Innings at home. This has the makings to be BRU-TAL.
-
Whew! If only he could have looked that good on Sunday when I was at the game haha Walk off or another dreaded extra inning game at home?
-
C'mon Robin! No Reed in a non-save situation!!

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 03:12 PM) What's with the Christ? This is a meaningless message board. Relax. As far as Zach, I can get what you wrote through my skull. He's where he belongs right now. AAA. Keep him off a big league mound until he has the ability to get a few big league hitters out. You should take your own advice when it comes to the Cubs and "ending" Konerko's career.
-
I want a sweep, but just win the series...PLEASE
-
Fine with the DL and DFA, but really? Bruney? There wasn't ANYONE better to call up? He's proven he's AAAA. He could be dominating in Charlotte and his fastball is 95, but when he gets to Chicago it'll wind up being 92 and very hittable. I literally would have preferred ANYONE else to Bruney with even a lick of stuff.

Great article on MLB's dumbass blackout rules http://sports.yahoo.com/news/mlb%E2%80%99s...-dark-ages.html

Now this team needs to shake it out and get the funk off them and rattle off 3 or 4 in a row. Hopefully this is the start of a nice Gavin run of dominance we know he's capable of. If the Sox alternate good and bad months they could still win the division with how s***ty it is. April: Bad. May: Good. June: Bad. July: Good. August: Bad. September: Good. Haha That would be the only way this team could make the playoffs cause a run like that all season would drive us fans f***ing bonkers haha
-
There! Was that so f***ing hard Gavin?? Still a fifth straight series loss for the team, but at least they're going out on a win. That's always better.
-
This team that won 9 in a row doesn't even look like it could win more than 2 for the rest of the season haha

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jun 19, 2012 -> 08:16 AM) Dionsaur Jr., nice. And Against Me! is there, so you can see what the show is like with Laura Jane Grace at the helm. She did her first show last month and it apparently went really well. Yeah I'm curious to see how it all works out with her. The LA crowd should give a pretty warm reception i'd imagine. There are at least seven bands I want to see. That is such a high number (at least for me) to be on a festival line-up. Last years FYF Fest had literally zero bands I listened to. Also the LA Comedy scene is amazing so I imagine when the comedy line up is announced it'll be pretty stellar.

Again... KC has given the Sox trouble these last few years. I'm willing to bet they win the season series this year as well. But finish ahead of the Sox? Not a chance. You know why? Cause EVERYONE ELSE can beat the Royals at a consistant clip. On a different note. I can't help but laugh that after all of the s***ty play the Sox have endured for the last few weeks they are STILL in first. This division is such a joke...
-
I usually steer clear of outdoor music festivals cause of my hated or people, crowds of people, crowds of smelly people and the heat, but this line-up is RIDICULOUS (to me) http://fyffest.com/ And a HELL of a great price for weekend passes.... I will be there

I don't mind resting guys and getting the bench players some AB's. It's a long season and everyone needs a break every now and then, it's the fact that Robin seems to pick a day and decides the ENTIRE bench gets to start. That's the weird thing. Have a rotation set this picking Sunday and saying f*** it doesn't really result in W's.

The only positive I can think of is this has to be Stewart's last stand right? right? I mean if he gets shelled that should show it's time for him to get sent down. If he goes 5 and gives up like 2-3 runs and the Sox can score then that's great....
-
You just don't pay $58 million dollars to a 33 year old pitcher who's best described as "durable". It just doesn't make sense financially. You know who else is a soft-tossing rubber armed durable pitcher? Livan Hernandez. The Sox made the right move. And like I said, I also would have traded Danks. I was in the full rebuild mode this off-season. Whatever deal was best Kenny should have taken.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:38 PM) Signing Mark to the same contract Miami gave him would have been f***ing stupid /thread "But.... but he's fan favorite and such a nice guy! Who cares about money?!? Pay him $100 million! Whatever it takes...!"

How many "this will be when the Tigers make their run" runs will they have to have before we realize they're just not that good of a team this season? No One. And I mean NO ONE. Is going on a run away in the Central in 2012. Not The Sox. Not The Tigers. Not the Indians (The Royals don't even merit discussion) This division will be won with 90 wins at most. And it's gonna be bitter all summer and into the fall. It'll be nailbiting heartbreak or victory (which will also make hearts malfunction) Welcome to 2012.

Still in first. Don't deserve it. Quintana should have went CG. Shouldn't have been the Sunday line up with Stewart going tomorrow. Robin's worst series so far
