  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 01:42 PM) you said it, not me You're the Joseph Gordon-Levitt ala Angels in the Outfield to the White Sox
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 01:32 PM) I saw them at Wrigley in 05 in the first game of the crosstown series. Freddy Garcia started, Crede and Dye homered. Its just been a long time since I have had the time and money to go. 2000 and 2005 have a few things in common...
  3. Seemingly being unable to beat Toronto no matter what either teams records are at any given time is super frustrating, but then you realize they aren't in the Central and it becomes less frustrating (but still a little frustrating) Just try for 5-5, settle for 4-6 and concentrate on those games against Cle, Minny, Detroit and KC. That's how they'll make the playoffs...
  4. Just win ONE and take out your frustrations on Houston and the rest of the NL...
  5. Friggin' hate games like this where there have about a 1% chance of a comeback...
  6. 10 games against Toronto this season. Yeesh. Somehow go 5-5 or 4-6? Thank God they don't share a division...
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 06:33 PM) It's not over...Jays are very weak on the mound Romero seems to be having a pretty easy time right now...
  8. Something about them Blue Jays... Every year it seems Well on their way to 11-27 vs. the Jays since 2007
  9. I'm putting on the tinfoil hat: Every time I watch a Sox game on MLB.TV through Apple TV it goes to Pixelation City... but if I flip on any other game, it comes in crystal clear....
  10. He's just playing in the wrong ERA of great First Basemen to get in... Classic Hall of Really Good candidate...
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 04:55 PM) Its what I do. You going to any of the Dodgers/Sox games? Might go Saturday... Don't know yet, though.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 04:36 PM) Technically haven't the White Sox had someone start the all star game as a pitcher? I thought Loazia or someone did. You're a real jerk you know that? Anyways, I'm strictly talking about position players. Loaiza, Buehrle, and Garland started if I'm not mistaken. Hey maybe Sale will add to that list...
  13. Just did some quick research so there is a chance I could have messed this up, but here goes: The last White Sox position player to start the All-Star Game was Frank Thomas in 1995. Since then, every single team in the MLB has had at least one player start the All-Star Game, except the White Sox and Kansas City. Now, I just looked on baseball-reference.com, so this doesn't tell me (as far as I know) if said player in the starting line-up was voted in or was placed in the line-up after someone dropped out. I'm sure that happened plenty of times actually (for example Jason Bay started for the Pirates in 2006, and I don't recall him being voted in, but I could be wrong) Even with the "person voted in dropped out" scenerio, there has never been a White Sox player apparently in the second or third position on the depth chart to get a shot. How ridiculous is that?!
  14. Other than Tigers/Yanks/Red Sox/Rangers, The only other team that even cracks the top 2 is the Orioles for Weiters...
  15. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) Fielder is leading after the first totals. Konerko in 3rd. It's not close. Dunn isn't even in the top 5 for DH. Aggravating. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...lb&c_id=mlb HUGE SHOCK. So AL is all Rangers/Red Sox/Yankees. At least the NL is repped by 7 different teams so far haha. Paulie has a ZERO percent chance to make it. 400,000 votes behind....
  16. That's an odd name...

    NEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRDDDS!!
  18. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 10:20 AM) who do i root for tonight, indians or tigers? Tigers. They're further back. You just gotta hope the Sox win too so Detroits wins don't get them anywhere haha

I wasn't saying only Wilkins. it'd be like a package of Wilkins, Mitchell, and more... and even still that's not really as good a package as other teams can offer....
  20. Oh and just for fun. Here's the playoffs if they started today... White Sox vs. Rays Yankees/Orioles vs. Rangers Reds vs. Nationals Giants/Marlins vs. Dodgers I gotta admit, the Wild Card Play-In-Game's as the teams are constructed right now, would be pretty great. (By the Way does the Play-In game have a name yet? Is it just like "Wildcard Game" or something like that)
  21. It is RIDICULOUS that the Sox are 1/2 game behind Texas for Best Record in the AL...
  22. 11-26 against Toronto since 2007... Gotta change that. Hopefully a well rested offense and maybe a Humber back on the upswing can help out in Game 1

Good to see Wilkins mashing since coming off the DL. Had such a horrendous start to the season, but he's looking good now. Just don't trade him for Youk now KW!
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 05:42 PM) Chicago White Sox ‏@whitesox Hawkins was recommended by #WhiteSox scout Keith Staab #MLBDraft What a great name.
  25. The more I read about this kid, the more I like him. Now if Giolito can just drop to 48 haha
