White Sox 21st in MLB spending last two offseasons
Why do I feel like a deal is going to be Kjerstad for Michael King or some s%*#.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
No, I promise you no one here will care if all of that happens.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
No one cares about your Padres

White Sox 21st in MLB spending last two offseasons
Well yeah, that would be the only scenario really. Don't really think the Sox are going to do that though.

White Sox 21st in MLB spending last two offseasons
I hope no team takes on any payroll from them. Even the bullpen pieces (since that is an area getting crowded) like Blake Treinen ($8.5M), Evan Phillips ($6.1M), Ryan Brasier ($4.5M) that are likely getting squeezed out.

Rays even manage to outpayroll Sox now with HaSeong Kim deal
I liked this strategy for last year after it was a lock they would have the 10 pick. Now that the first pick is on the table, might as well suck. Don't mind going back to the other strategy when the highest they can't draft as high the following year though.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
They just extended Tommy Edman, who's slated for CF. I'm actually confused on why he isn't just playing SS instead of Betts with him at 2B or back to the OF in center.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Only thing is, teams might try to trade something for whoever is out on waivers if they think he is worth it. Might be an alright time to grab Outman.

Keith Law's Top 100 prospects out
He's only 23. And it wasn't "a normal free agent process."
-
Robert projected to have 25/25 season
No, this isn't part of the thought process on keeping him at all.

Rubenstein of O's pushes for salary cap
Definitely feels like we will get a long strike/lock out in 2027.

State of the White Sox
There are still some guys with closing experience I wouldn't mind them taking a shot on, even if you have to offer a higher salary for one year or two years.

Sox Sign James Karinchak to minor league deal, NRI
Forget it. He's rolling.
-
Robert projected to have 25/25 season
Fair prediction for a guy who’s played over 100 games once in 4 full seasons.

Sox Sign James Karinchak to minor league deal, NRI
That’s what I’m thinking.

Sox are getting 6 on MLB Pipeline list
Hopefully Zavala blows up

Rubenstein of O's pushes for salary cap
Yeah I’ve thought the same. Would still suck but at least it’s at a time where they won’t be .500 or better.

Sox trade Marinaccio for $ considerations
Idk, I don't see a guy with a near 6 ERA and think "that is serviceable"
-
Rubenstein of O's pushes for salary cap
Yeah I fear the 2027 season would be in danger.

Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
They should probably do a similar deal involving Kjerstad as well since they keep blocking him and he's going to be 26 soon. O'Neill was such a waste of resources.

White Sox considering Rojas, Meidroth at SS
I don't understand. Why didn't they just target someone who could play SS in a reserve role over Rojas, who is below average defensively at SS? Since people think Meidroth is likely to make the team, I wouldn't mind him starting at SS with Sosa at 2B. Baldwin probably starts at 2B in AAA in that scenario.

Which White Sox hitter (after Robert) will be MLB Top 15 fWAR?
Luis Robert is the easy answer

Rubenstein of O's pushes for salary cap
Yeah agreed. Pirates, for example, have a $79M payroll and are in their competitive window now. Look at their young pitching staff. They should have gone out and grabbed say, Christian Walker who's from PA, since they had/have an opening at 1B. They could definitely afford a bat somewhere.

Rubenstein of O's pushes for salary cap
Yeah it's got to be a harder cap, deferrals to a minimum.
