  1. Yeah, I would prioritize DFAing 20s/early 30s group and hold onto the younger guys: Scholtens, Justin Anderson, Marinaccio, Murfee, Varland. Don't think it'll be Steven Wilson even though he could be in that group.
  2. I was kind of leaning Scholtens but he will still probably miss some time at the beginning of the season to the point he will prob be a 60-day IL guy (meaning, you can open a 40-man spot at the start of Spring Training). I'm going to guess Murfee as well.
  3. Idk you need a lot of arms. Plus, if he is respectable, he’ll he dealt sometime in the summer. Plenty of innings for young guys after that. Plus, injuries happy and you really can’t plan for that (unless their names are Yoán, Eloy, Luis haha)
  4. I agree with not burning a full year of service. But Sox, in the past, have not really played the service time game. Edit: also, it’s kind of telling there aren’t any true SSs on the 40-man.
  5. I can't see how Colson at SS on OD isn't the plan. It has to be his to lose. On the 40-man, you don't have any real SS. Baldwin can maybe fake and hold down the fort but there really aren't any other options. Maybe Lenyn? But he also hasn't really played there the past few years.
  6. Yeah, they're kind of failing at this.
  7. So we got the financial details of this deal before the details of Rojas?
  8. They need some veteran SP to eat innings. The young guys will get plenty of innings anyway.
  9. No, I'm pretty sure he was the corresponding move for the move prior to Rojas (Gilbert maybe?).
  10. So now they need to remove 2 guys from the 40-man, correct? Never saw who was DFA'd for Rojas.
  11. Do you really believe they've soured on Robert that much?
  12. This is his Super Bowl
  13. Right, which I’m assuming the Sox are part of the 20, but not the fraction.
  14. MLB.com article said 20 teams made presentations, which we know the Sox submitted one. I feel like it's probably Seattle.
  15. I'm pretty sure they ate John Danks salary when he had over a year left. Edit: nvm, he was released in his final year
  16. What would be the equivalent to what the Reds traded?
  17. He's really good defensively though. Assuming he is healthy and ready for Opening Day, Roster Resource currently has Lux at 2B, McClain at SS, and Elly at 3B.
  18. If Kim sucks or there are injuries, Edman could move to 2B and they can be an option for Robert. Feel like Robert to LAD is more likely in the summer than now.
  19. What does that say about Fletcher then?
  20. I think people here in mock trades picked the Comp Balance pick and Sirota as pieces in a Robert deal. With someone like Arroyo of course. Too bad.
  21. There’s also no more room for him in the OF there, unless Edman moved to 2B.
  22. He didn’t mean more than Robert.
  23. Reds do seem to have a lot of infielders though, some that are blocked. Would have liked that Competitive Balance pick in a potential Robert trade if they were hesitant to include multiple big prospects.
