Reds acquire Soxtalk favorite Gavin Lux
Outfield prospect Mike Sirota the return for LA. And also, Cincinnati's Competitive Balance pick. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/01/reds-finalizing-gavin-lux-trade.html Edit: Dodgers drafted him back in 2021 but didn't sign.

Someone check on Harold.

Would we be
He literally starts the paragraph with “I seriously doubt the Sox have the stones” so no, he’s not serious.

Sox Acquire Tyler Gilbert for Aaron Combs, DFA Braden Shewmake
No he wasn’t. They traded him to make room on the 40-man.
-
Would we be
That would be booting 3 draft picks.
-
Would we be
Yeah, the best case scenario is Robert plays like he did in 2023 and gets traded for a haul, and those other guys are at least tradable.
-
Would we be
Nope. But would look more interesting.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
Looks like he has struggled on offense recently. How’s his defense?
-
White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
Maybe he would want a one year deal or multi-year deal with an opt out after year 1.

Yeah they should do this. As for the 40-Man roster, bump off some of those around 30 or older relievers like the guys you mentioned. Even Varland or Justin Anderson as well. Have as many younger, upside guys as possible instead.

White Sox are interested in RHP Jakob Junis
No shortage of rotation, long relief options.

Yeah I guess it's possible Baldwin is back at Charlotte to open the year, but then you need a placeholder at SS (unless Colson makes the team). Rojas isn't that guy.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
They can already do that with the guys they have. Baldwin can cover SS with Amaya as the backup (also DFA'd for Colson when he comes up). Edit: Rojas also hasn't played SS since 2021 and was negative there.

He's gotta be starting here. If he wanted to be a bench player, he would go to a competitive team.

White Sox agree to 1 year deal with INF Josh Rojas
I was kind of hoping they would be in on that Hyeseong Kim (who’s posting period is up tomorrow) but this would seem to effectively end that.

Ramos - AAA, Sosa I feel like makes the team as the 2B (unless Meidroth just flat out beats him out for the OD spot). No idea on Vargas.

Light-hitting 3B. Good glove though.

White Sox Projected Rotations
Yeah not yet. Some were just out of need.
-
White Sox Projected Rotations
Right. Assuming no injury, I don’t want to see these guys until 2026.

Vargas and Fletcher have to play . . . be given every chance to succeed . . . Right?
Going to be a rough few years
