He didn't actually. He was traded during the season before he was a free agent so he wasn't eligible to receive one. It's part of why I liked the idea of signing him a year ago as well to a 1 year/high AAV deal. I feel like he would be a decent buy low, bounce back candidate, especially if you can get something interesting along with him. Would have the benefit of a regular Spring Training as well instead of signing late into March.

If he pitches good, he can opt out after a year and you can offer a QO. Would check the box of having a lefty starter, veteran guy on a young staff. Plus, the D-Backs owner bashed him. Probably very available haha
