  1. Maybe he would want a one year deal or multi-year deal with an opt out after year 1.
  2. Yeah they should do this. As for the 40-Man roster, bump off some of those around 30 or older relievers like the guys you mentioned. Even Varland or Justin Anderson as well. Have as many younger, upside guys as possible instead.
  3. No shortage of rotation, long relief options.
  4. Yeah I guess it's possible Baldwin is back at Charlotte to open the year, but then you need a placeholder at SS (unless Colson makes the team). Rojas isn't that guy.
  5. They can already do that with the guys they have. Baldwin can cover SS with Amaya as the backup (also DFA'd for Colson when he comes up). Edit: Rojas also hasn't played SS since 2021 and was negative there.
  6. He's gotta be starting here. If he wanted to be a bench player, he would go to a competitive team.
  7. I was kind of hoping they would be in on that Hyeseong Kim (who’s posting period is up tomorrow) but this would seem to effectively end that.
  8. Ramos - AAA, Sosa I feel like makes the team as the 2B (unless Meidroth just flat out beats him out for the OD spot). No idea on Vargas.
  9. Light-hitting 3B. Good glove though.
  10. Yeah not yet. Some were just out of need.
  11. Right. Assuming no injury, I don’t want to see these guys until 2026.
  12. As of now, the starting OF is LF Benintendi CF Robert and RF Tauchman/Slater. Unless Benny is the primary DH, it doesn't seem like Fletcher will get much of a shot.
  13. Yeah if anything add another long-reliever type. I don't think it hurts to have multiple in the pen if your rotation is so young. Granted, Scholtens (when he comes back) and Wilson can be those guys.
  14. Baseball has the most variety when it comes to its winners. So many of the guys the Dodgers spent a ton of money on last offseason didn’t even contribute in the postseason. Still actually have to play the games. I will admit, they look so much better going in this upcoming season. I didn’t think their lineup looked that impressive for what the payroll was going into last yea.r.
  15. They could have afforded this one. They don’t need to get 10. Just get at least one and show your fans you are trying.
  16. Other teams could have afforded this contract. As I said, Pirates have a need for offense, currently in “their window” and a $75M payroll. They could have done this.
  17. I think the 2 teams he was rumored for filled an OF vacancy. He’s the opening day CF for the Sox.
  18. Example: Pirates. They need hitting to go with that young rotation. Their payroll is like $75M. f*** them.
