Yeah that's true about Houser but him being a rental and the way he has thrown this season, I would think a team would want the extra start.

At this point, yeah one game isn't going to make a difference on Robert's value and a team would rather trade for an extra start of Houser (skip him today and he's available for a team tomorrow if traded today).

I don’t think that really matters when you’re talking about a rental. I guess they still have to give up something interesting enough to make them not hold him and offer a QO though.

Only ways it makes sense is if 1) the organization doesn't believe he is a starter in the long-run and 2) another team offers you an absolute haul (they would not right now without much of a track record) that you have to say yes

What would make this week fun is if there was like a GM meetings in the summertime, the 3-4 days leading up to the deadline. At least do that if you're going to continue having the draft be like 2-3 weeks before.

Hell, eat most of it (minus the league minimum) and toss in cash for the buyout and get the best offer.
