Cubs-Yankees Trade
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 07:16 PM) Baez Nah. With upside like that you start him, trade him, or play him in minors. Especially since he's still young. I bet he gets traded though.

Cubs-Yankees Trade
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 07:12 PM) That trade literally makes no sense for the Cubs... Cahill is better than Warren, so Warren is useless, and why would they acquire another infielder if they just traded one away and signed another one? I don't get it. I don't think they had a backup infielder. Ryan is a solid backup with plus defense.

Cubs-Yankees Trade
Everyone on here has been hating on Castro for the past few months saying he has no value and now everyone thinks he's a good player? I don't get it.

Zobrist To Cubs, 4/56
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 06:59 PM) I don't think I'd be thrilled with this if I were a Cub fan. I like it from here, though. My Cubs fans friends aren't thrilled at all.

Yay no more Castro for Quintana suggestions.

Zobrist To Cubs, 4/56
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 06:50 PM) That's a pretty decent deal for the Cubs. The fourth year sucks, but a $14M AAV ain't bad. Agree

Zobrist To Cubs, 4/56
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 06:40 PM) @Ken_Rosenthal: Source: Zobrist in agreement with #Cubs on four-year, $56M contract, pending a physical. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Zobrist To Cubs, 4/56
I think he still has another good 2-3 years left.

Zobrist To Cubs, 4/56
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 05:48 PM) The Mets are closer and he would start. He would start with the Cubs too?

Cubs-Yankees Trade
QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 05:22 PM) Think maybe Nova is involved? I think the Cubs want controllable pitching. Nova is a free agent after this year.

Teams are targeting SS Tim Anderson, #White Sox's No. 1 prospect,
Guessing we have made some calls on some players we have yet to be connected to publicly and yet want Anderson back in trades.

Zobrist To Cubs, 4/56
QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 05:05 PM) I'm going to guess he may get 16 per thou, but can't imagine 4 years Enough teams want him. 4 years wouldn't be shocking.

Rangers “Surveying” Rival Clubs On Prince Fielder
Anyone who takes him is a sucker. It's amazing the Tigers got out from most of under that weight (ha).

White Sox targeting OF Justin Upton
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) Heyward's defense would be wasted in left field which is a good part of his attraction Think he meant left.

White Sox targeting OF Justin Upton
QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 03:17 PM) After that Angels tweet, another one that they are talking about moving calhoun to RF for Heyward. Heyward Trout Calhoun....yiiikes Calhoun already plays right. I think you mean left.

Jose Fernandez Trade Talks Heating Up
Yeah I think I'd rather keep Rodon if it was 1 for 1. I could see dealing Fulmer and other arms for him since they aren't proven. Just don't know if the Marlins would do it.

Jose Fernandez Trade Talks Heating Up
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 12:09 PM) It won't happen, but imagine if he came to the Sox and what the rotation would look like afterwards? Sale/Fernandez/Quintana/Rodon/Fulmer Wow. I imagine Fulmer would be part of a deal among others.

Why NOT trade Chris Sale?
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 11:22 AM) The Sox have control of Sale though 2019. With the nagging fear of serious injury, and the regular nagging injuries keeping that have followed him around annually, I wouldn't be looking to extend him unless it was incredibly team friendly with options. Yep. So in other words not happening.

White Sox exploring Nobuhiro Matsuda
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 09:45 AM) If the Sox were to sign this guy, I sure hope they wouldn't be paying for his career year. I don't see many teams being in on him. I bet Lawrie gets traded and Freese signs somewhere before he signs (one of those guys may go to us).

The LaRoche article dug up from 2015
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) Nightengale tweeted that they were looking to move him to re-allocate the money towards a bat. Nowhere does it say anything about eating $$. Reinsdorf settled for Leury Garcia in return for Rios because Texas took the $$. They don't eat $$ in trades. Doesn't say in the tweet they're looking to move all.

White Sox exploring Nobuhiro Matsuda
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 09:18 AM) Phil Rogers @philgrogers 2m2 minutes ago #WhiteSox exploring Japanese 3B Nobuhiro Matsuda. He hit a career-high 35 homers last year for #Softbank. Well timed move to US. How many teams are actually still looking for a 3B? I can't think of many and it seems like there are enough options to go around between Lawrie, Matsuda, Freese being available.

The LaRoche article dug up from 2015
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 09:17 AM) He turned 36 last month. He is a year younger than John Lackey. That's it? I thought he was older for some reason. Thanks for the info. Still doubt he bounces back significantly though.

The LaRoche article dug up from 2015
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 08:37 AM) LaRoche is definitely a guy who could benefit from a change in scenery. Also recall, even Dunn bounced back pretty big, and he was older as I recall. But the Sox would need to kick in some money, no doubt. It's hard to compare the LaRoche situation to Dunn's since he's what 38 now? He could just be finished.
