  1. Claim him. You signed him to the contract he signed originally and you’re going to need innings after the deadline. f*** it.
  2. Damn I didn't know about that rule I guess that makes sense since some thought Flexen had control after last year. Definitely trade him then. If you want to, sign him again in the offseason.
  3. You don’t have to add some guys that are eligible, as they still may need to develop and may not have any risk in getting picked (like someone who is signed when they’re 17 that has to be added like 4-5 years later).
  4. I think he means pick up the option now, still trade him but also include to pay down the salary for next year so a team gets him cheap for rest of this year, cheap in 2026, and a team option for 2027.
  5. I kinda have Martin, Cannon, Burke in the same bucket.
  6. Tough to score 4 in an inning on one hit.
  7. I kinda figured had more to do with the weather in Tampa and the pitcher.
  8. Prob has more to do with the weather. And 0-6 against Rasmussen (very SSS).
  9. Not all but some. Some guys don’t get protected since there isn’t a chance they will get selected.
  10. Good. Now, before he hits another historical norm, trade him before he gets hurt!
  11. That would be an overpay, yes. And Robert would see 4/$40M as an underpay and want to prove he can do better. I really don’t know how you aren’t grasping this and it’s on you at this point.
  12. That’s how I’m leaning but hope to be wrong
  13. Well, what can we get for just Robert then. Like to use as a benchmark.
  14. Robert + Sosa + reliever (or Houser idc) to Mets gets you what?
  15. You’re right. Who wouldn’t want to play for a team heading to their 3rd straight 100-loss season instead of a perennial contender!
  16. He’s better off taking a 1-year, at least $10M offer somewhere and proving he’s the guy that people think he can be to try to get a better multi-year deal than you tossed out.
  17. Robert hangs up and says: “are they fuckin serious?”
  18. There’s just no reason for him to accept that. If a team buys out his option next year, he’ll sign a 1-year pillow deal to rebuild value. Plus like I said, I doubt he really wants to be here anymore.
  19. Yeah he should be gone. Honestly, Michael Taylor can find himself on an a competitive team's bench looking to improve their 4th OF spot. I actually saw the Cubs as a suggestion since their backup CF is currently Vidal Brujan.
  20. Haha I think once guys are moved (every day and bench players), we'll see Sabol up serving as the 3rd catcher, getting both Q and Teel in the lineup every day.
  21. Yeah they've gotta do something since it seems like Chase is the guy at 2B (covering SS to get Sosa in the lineup). Could always listen to offers and if they don't move him, maybe see if he can learn LF.
