  1. That Braves one somehow looks like the most unrealistic of the group. A guy with 5 years of control, a guy with 6 years of control, AND 2 top 100 prospects?
  2. Posted because maybe relevant I guess. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/david-rubenstein-reportedly-in-talks-to-acquire-baltimore-orioles.html
  3. Not disagreeing just saying they can put together a strong offer mixed with position players and arms.
  4. Lowder Arroyo then. Point is, they can put together a strong offer.
  5. I'm even looking at some names in the 10-20 and 20-30 range as third and fourth pieces. Admittedly, looking more at left handed hitting OFs like Hector Rodriguez.
  6. Just realized Arroyo also wasn't named. Man, so deep.
  7. What about Lowder or whatever his name is the Sox asked for yesterday.
  8. And Steer even. Though I think he is moving to the OF. India probably gets traded somewhere too.
  9. We all know. Were reacting to the site’s insiders posts indicating interest.
  10. Rather have Maldonado on a 1 year cheap deal to be a backup than trade for Salvador Perez.
  11. Have you heard of any interest in Whit?
  12. Harold saying “no s%*#” implies interest (assuming Harold does have sources). No one would blame you if you didn’t believe he has sources though. I’m skeptical myself.
  13. Right. If only one or two teams could pay it, why would those one or two teams even pay that much if there aren't many competitors. Just hold at least another year/year and a half and see if there could be some sort of quick turn around where things go better in 2025 somehow. Can still trade him then. For now, we will still need a reason to watch and he's about it.
  14. Exist in this weird purgatory until Jerry sells the team or dies.
  15. I don't think getting 2 top 100 prospects (or 1 and then another guy just outside the top 100), another organizational prospect in the 11-20 range, and possibly a 4th in the 20-30 range is necessarily a "monster return." This is probably close to what I would expect. If they do better than that, great. I will admit, the proposals that have the O's sending 3 guys in the top 100 seem like a bit much.
  16. This is the point. Not many teams could even pay that if they wanted to.
  17. I'm more mad you still had Gavin in the OF over Mark Payton lol
  18. Spotrac has their luxury tax number at about $108M after this signing, about $128M under the luxury tax. Projected payroll at just under $93M. Doesn't sound very maxed out.
  19. Eloy, traded or not, also hurt in this scenario.
  20. Yes, get an actual OF. Not a guy who is more of an every day utility type.
  21. Shouldn't be too hard for him to stick on this team.
  22. There's nothing easy with this org.
  23. They don’t have enough bat first, non-defense OF’rs?
  24. I want whoever's name won't be complicated to spell.
