A Tale of Two Cities . . . MLB Expansion.
Vegas is getting a second team as an expansion team along with the A's?

Yoshinobu Yamamoto got $325 million 12 years from Dodgers (+posting fee)
You would have to think if he's here meeting with team that he would want to maybe agree and finalize a deal before going back home for Christmas right? The end of the week Tweet definitely makes sense.

Eloy Trade Rumor Thread
Yeah a little over there on Spotrac. And also with Cease at around $8.5 who may be traded before that.

Eloy Trade Rumor Thread
I like the suggestion of Jake McCarthy for Eloy Jimenez. Feel like the D-Backs can still use another RHH (though, they could just sign Soler or JD Martinez if they want to).

A Tale of Two Cities . . . MLB Expansion.
I feel like either Texas or another team further west is the call. And then of course Nashville.

Sadly, that limit would be really low.* *for a team in Chicago

Eloy Trade Rumor Thread
If you could get a couple interesting pieces for him, I wouldn't mind trading him now. But in the meantime, there is no immediate replacement and might as well see if he bounces back as a full-time DH. He's proven he should never be in the OF. Can't really blame for the appendectomy though.

Benetti to Tigers
Yeah, I don't think he's actually an announcer. He just fills in for like an inning for Pat Hughes. It would be like if Chuck started calling innings/games.

Cease To Padres per Passan
That's fair. Just not sure how much value I actually put on paying someone who can't stay on the mound $27M. I don't think that is very valuable.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I still vote mix package. 2 bats, 2 arms. A top 100 arm and bat (or similar value, not necessarily current at T100).

Eloy Trade Rumor Thread
Yeah, they should still have a need for a RHH. Eloy can DH and Gurriel can play LF.

Cease To Padres per Passan
They didn’t trade for those 5 years of control though. It’s separate from the 1 year/$25M they traded for.

Agreed in a lot of aspects of the organization.

If one thing is for certain, there’s been lots of great baseball the past decade. /green

This has to reach a conclusion by like, end of day Tuesday, right?

I was going to say, over/under when he has TJ surgery: June 1, 2026.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Yeah unfortunately can’t force a team to trade some of their talent. I’m kinda shocked they’re not trying to move one of Hays/Mullins/Santander for prospects to slide one of Cowser/Kjerstad to the MLB team and have more prospect depth to deal from.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I just don’t see them adding Kelenic with basically 3 top 100 guys.
-
Cease To Padres per Passan
Simple: get 2 bats and 2 arms. If you land 2 too 100 prospects (or players who were but have 6 years of control left), get one back that is a pitcher and one a hitter.

Hunter Renfroe to KC
Huh? This team is already worse than looking than last year (except maybe defensively). Some of these guys they would be possibly selling low on (Eloy). Might as well see if he can hit for a couple months and deal in June/July. Same goes for Moncada. No immediate prospect banging on the door to start there opening day.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I feel like you’re getting 3 top 100 prospects in 2 of those deals basically so definitely interesting, ha.

Hunter Renfroe to KC
Look at the roster. The answer is obvious on if they will be competitive or not.

Cease To Padres per Passan
Probably the way you list it but that doesn't mean I don't like the Braves offer.
-
Cease To Padres per Passan
“A lot” 3 arms who were not that great last year lol Soroka also has 1 year of control so non-factor long term.

Cease To Padres per Passan
I’m certainly not complaining about a Braves return. Can’t have too many arms. Especially with this team.
