  1. I mean, no one is really up in arms about this but ok...
  2. To be fair, they are also a team that constantly deals with a 40-man roster crunch. Edit: well, everyone does but their decisions are usually tougher.
  3. Still think India makes the most sense to Toronto since they have holes at 2B and 3B.
  4. The arguing in this thread has gotten so repetitive. We just need a trade to happen.
  5. For the f*** of it, that would give you: Edwin Arroyo: #57 MLBT100, Reds #3 Connor Phillips: 68, 4 Chase Petty: UR, 6 Sal Stewart: UR, 7 Ricardo Cabrera: UR, 8. 2 in the Top 100 and 5 in the top 10 of their prospects. And then Jonathan India.
  6. With all the other names in there, he doesn't look like a main piece to be honest. Subtract him from that offer and it looks like the kind of offer you might receive. I would take him if all 5 of those other pieces were coming with.
  7. That would be cool.
  8. Maybe we'll hear about more interest for Cease from the Diamondbacks.
  9. I feel like a team in Chicago should be able to. Keyword being: SHOULD. Edit: I'm still pissed Bryce Harper was right there for the taking that one offseason. Would have been great for this franchise.
  10. I don’t buy the idea of a “super team.” Other teams that looked like super teams in the past didn’t win much, if at all. Playoffs are such crap shoot. Plus, who knows how good this guy will actually be here. TJ Surgery will probably happen within the next 2 and a half years, his first anyway.
  11. A few of those names are not long term options. We’re not making this trade solely to fill holes for the next year or two.
  12. Surprised something like this isn’t happened yet.
  13. Whatever long term deal Bellinger signs is going to be awful quick I feel.
  14. But they have also offered Yamamoto a $250M+ deal. I guess you could shop someone though.
  15. I think he's just salty (like the rest of us) that he's holding up the off-season for a lot of players/teams.
  16. Whoever offers the most AND offers an opt out after like 4 years probably gets him.
  17. I would believe this if you said May/June, but by August, if everything goes according to plan, you probably see Montgomery in Chicago (and to an extent, Ramos).
  18. Idk, Gallen, Rodriguez, Cease, Kelly rotation would look nice.
  19. I feel like there are definitely other candidates I would have DFA'd before Patino.
  20. Drive up the asking price for the Reds
  21. Right. Eventually they have to make some sort of move and they do have some nice hitters.
  22. I don't put a lot of stock into the rumor either but the Pirates aren't a team that will go out and spend 9 figures on an arm so trading for one that has 2 years of control is probably more intriguing to them. This is basically their version of "going for it" and hoping their young hitters can help carry them like the Reds last year.
