With nothing in free agency, unless you make a trade for a third baseman in the off-season, you kinda need to hang onto Moncada. At least for early in the year. Trading him, you probably have to pay at least half of what he is owed between his 2024 salary and buyout.

Moncada and Eloy isn't exactly breaking news either.

Yeah, I'd be ok with that. Somehow re-work the contract where they have him 2 years (missing all of the first year), having him in 2025, and then paying some in the deferral for x amount of years later. Edit: just saw Lip's post so nvm.
