  1. Well, maybe they will pick someone up towards the end of Spring Training that is cut loose from another team.
  2. Lol exactly. Put him in the stable if he needs to be a backup or take it out back and put him out of his misery and dfa him.
  3. Never understood the people wanting to cut him in the off-season. You’d bring him into the season and go from there. You’d at least give him a shot.
  4. I believe Moncada had a baserunning blunder earlier today too. Get them out of the way now.
  5. Yeah, I never wanted him on that deal or even long term but would have welcomed him back on a one year QO deal or let him walk for the draft pick.
  6. They just punted a year of Vaughn for like 5 games in 2021. They don't really do the service time manipulation so at this point, kind of expect Colas to make it.
  7. Personally, I'm more likely to watch a full game on a weeknight now if the game is finished in under 3 hours.
  8. Plus, I feel like watching NFL has more of a social aspect of it: having people over for the game, going out, etc only once a week as compared to in baseball, your team having 5-7 games a week. You really can't compare the two. Edit: this actually came up in the MLBTR chat yesterday: https://live.jotcast.com/chat/chat-with-mlbtrs-steve-adams-3-7-23-15237.html Here was the response on it: I don't agree with the idea comparing the NFL and MLB though. I don't think people care about long NFL games because most are watching football once, maybe twice a week. Getting together for football is sort of this occasional, social ritual where maybe you have friends/family over for the game, head to the bar to watch in a group setting, etc. Baseball's season is 162 games, plus the postseason. The idea that MLB and NFL games are comparable in length in 2022 doesn't really matter, because there were like 10x as many MLB games; at that point, the extra length definitely matters, and I can see where burnout occurs.
  9. Yeah it kinda seems that way. Maybe they will end up adding a couple seconds eventually.
  10. Yeah it’s been annoying for sure
  11. I recorded the Cuba v Netherlands games to have as background noise while working today. 54 minutes into this recording and they just finished the 2nd inning. Long live the pitch clock indeed.
  12. Was probably too late with all the injuries anyway but it also would have given them one less 40-man spot to work with all off-season. I also don't think they planned on him being the OD starting RF, even heading into Spring Training until he started and has kept hitting to this point. Idk still feels like 50/50 one way or the other with the odds improving in his favor making the team OD each day.
  13. I meant more we loved his production. Not actually him lol LaRoche retiring was amazing for this team. I just used that as a reference from the first stint haha my bad
  14. I think he was referring to the 2021 Eaton. Not the productive, Drake LaRoche-backing version of Eaton we all loved.
  15. Yeah unless he cools off, I think he will be in right opening day. They don’t really play the whole service time game.
  16. The at bats for Sheets and Burger will open up eventually during the season due to injuries. They each have an option. Use it for depth. They don’t need to be on the bench only to play once a week.
