Hopefully he comes back and is somewhere in the middle of second half 2021 and first half 2022. I wouldn’t expect his numbers to be as good as last year but better than he’s been the first half of this year.

To be fair, no one is talking about Conforto for this year. It wouldn’t stop them from getting a rental. You get him working with an organization’s staff this year and bank on him being 100% for next year.

Yeah I'd be all for Nimmo myself. Though Sheets, Pollock, Engel are guys I wouldn't count on fighting for 4 spots. Engel is a backup, Sheets is a DH and not needed if they grab a left-handed bat, and Pollock I don't really expect to be here or platoon at best, unless he turns it around this year.

They don't have the bullets to make a deal for Soto nor would extend him.

There's room for both Vaughn and Conforto to both be in the lineup next season. Doesn't have to be either/or. Plus, Engel can still get plenty of PT against lefties for Conforto and late inning defense for Vaughn/Eloy.

And why is someone acting like we already have too many good players? And also cites Pollock as being one of them? Definitely plenty of space to take a chance on someone.

They can still get a rental for this year.
