@poppysox was pretty much the ringleader but there were def a few others that didn’t want Conforto (or anyone else) in RF. They said we were fine with Sheets and Vaughn in right. This exists somewhere in the off-season threads. -

It did yes. In the off-season before Pollock was acquired. -

Where’s the crowd that said that we didn’t need a real RF and Sheets was fine in RF? -

Yeah, and I get that Pollock is better than LF than in RF but with Sheets, Eloy or Vaughn in the outfield, he needs to be in RF. -

Yeah and it seems ok when Vaughn is out and Sheets isn’t really hitting (though I shouldn’t be in the field either). -
Lol what? Now you're comparing Bellinger's 21/22 seasons to Moncada's 21/22? Bellinger was awful. Moncada was the exact opposite.

I agree that it should be Engel in there for defense with the current options. But I guess giving Grandal a lot of rest from catching early in the season can be a positive? -

Yolbert has 2B until he is called up.

Polar Bear probably also cites the "eye test" like it has any value haha

I think the poster is just talking about depth purposes. -
If Moncada’s 2021 is “bad” as he says, I’d love to see a good season. There’s more to the game than home runs.
-
That’s not on Moncada. And Burger doesn’t exactly play every game either. That’s on LaRussa.
-
Burger hasn’t been good as of late…
-
Get him every day at bats.

Isn’t there a new rule about how often guys can be sent down in a season now? Maybe that is a small factor? Either way, let Burger get every day at bats at Charlotte. That is fine. -
Going forward for Keuchel: five and dive
-
Red Sox are now favorites to score first fyi.
-
Houck is now pitching.
-
Dog it to first, not get pulled from the game and be rewarded with leading off the next game. Nice.

Last year, it was on a Monday and it was for that day they run the Boston Marathon (forgot what they call that day) which already happened. I think it’s because it’s the Peacock Sunday game.

Still remains true…
