The White Sox cannot be fixed by next season
Honestly just go in house at 2B if you can add a lefty OF. If not, maybe try for Kolten Wong.

TLR out for the year
Love the Bochy idea, but I guess I would love anyone who isn’t LaRussa.

TLR out for the year
Did Bochy actually retire though? Or was he just taking a break from managing?

Luis Robert to the IL
Don’t even bother with TA either. And like I said the other day, just IL Grandal and see him next spring.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
The option increases, not the buyout. I posted here that it was different and that the buyout increased but I completely misread the article I read talking about his option. So that’s my b.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Pollock's option is a player option, not team. Which is why everyone is writing his name on the roster.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Big, if true.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
This is probably the most realistic option we are looking at here. Pollock is not going to decline that option though. Unless you're saying he goes in a move for another bad reliever I suppose.
-
Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Yeah I doubt that option gets picked up unless they want to trade him for something interesting.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Depending on what they do with the Abreu situation and the outfield, they may have to stay in house for 2B.
-
Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Because it’s exactly like something the Sox would do.
-
Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Very close to what I would do. The only difference coming in the batting order but that is something that is pretty fluid throughout a season anyway.

Looks like we are inline for the 16th pick or so for the 2023 MLB draft.
Think it was just a joke.

f*** it, we should hire Francona, like we should have 10 years ago.

Thank you both!

The White Sox cannot be fixed by next season
Forgot who did this, but who was the poster that created an Excel file with the 2022 roster and their salaries? I think you were able to add in moves and salaries and sort of build your own roster for next year. If anyone has it saved, can someone share it? Big thanks in advance.

Rockies
If they did it a month or so ago, sure. Not now.

Holmes Goes Off--Must See Video
And now he appears to be a expensive platoon player next year.

Yep. At this point, since we know they won’t come back, I want them to finish under .500 10+ games behind the Guardians.

Holmes Goes Off--Must See Video
It shouldn't have stopped him from adding good pieces, not just complimentary role players to the core.
-
Holmes Goes Off--Must See Video
Yeah that is true. Can't really assume they would have left them in the minors like other organizations would have for those couple of weeks. I used to say they only got 1 extra year of control from those deals but now I look back and think he would have made the team. So it would have been 6 years instead of close to 7 years of control.

I loved the extensions thinking they would also make great additions around them with the money saved getting them cheaper early. We skipped the part of the rebuild where you get the core to the majors and then add a star caliber player when everyone is on the cheap side. Doesn’t even have to be star caliber but a good all around player or two.

Correct.

Tim Anderson out 4-6 weeks with torn ligament in his hand
Don't even bother now. In fact, IL Robert and Grandal and bring up Payton and Perez. f*** it.
