Agreed with the specific group they signed. Maybe something interesting for Martin Perez from a team needing pitching but we know how that’s gone so far.
Yeah during Covid, my friends and I did a MLB The Show 2020 online league and I used the Angels. I used him at C against RHP since his secondary position was C. That’s why I remember it so well or it stuck out to me when Joe Maddon wanted him back at C. I think they carried 3 catchers at the time since he could play CIF as well.
I’m guessing they didn’t touch 2B or Soto technically passed Nimmo first (ruling him out) taking the force out away. So like a fielder’s choice would do.
Anyone else notice that Thaiss didn’t catch for like 5 years after being drafted? Only started again in 2022. Not bad for someone who converted back after not doing it at all for a while.
I'm thinking they should try to sell high on both (Thaiss, having a good defensively and OBP year, Lee: young with control) and sign a rando veteran to backup.
Baker sucks but it's not like I expected much for Thaiss. Just needed to clear a spot.
Clears a 40-man spot as well (was just thinking he would go after I saw Scholtens on the mound today. They'll have to make a decision on him eventually).
Yeah, people here recently have been anointing the big 3 of the not so distant future as Smith, Schultz and Taylor for the rotation. Now, Taylor is moving to the pen.
What? It’s like the one area he doesn’t seem to care if they spend since it’s an area that you spend less on good players compared to starters and position players lol
