Does anyone know if the ballpark is cashless? I'm going to Nashville next Thursday-Sunday (shout out @Chicago White Sox) and I was planning on taking out cash for tomorrow and next weekend.
-
People said this at the end of March that this would be the quote if they do nothing (I don't think they will do nothing). At the time of course, we didn't know Madrigal would be out all season and bullpen would be our weakness.
-
I assume that means they are making a move for a SP or someone is getting promoted?

I'm thinking Monday makes sense. Maybe he won't play today though and then be activated tomorrow (if there is any truth to this)? -
Only way would be to a team that needs a body for cash considerations basically.
-
I'll be there tomorrow. Staying overnight at the Tru downtown. Getting to Milwaukee around 10/11 and doing a mini bar crawl before the game.

At least you're consistent. -
Posted in the Cruz thread yesterday that I thought he would go there. I liked the fit for the: need of big bat, didn’t have to negotiate salary in the off-season and try to sign one.

Who might be going to the minors when our injured Stars return?

Yep. He’s an easy cut. -

Also true. Since Lamb isn’t even playing his primary position and bad in the outfield, would anyone even miss him? -
Doesn’t have to be either or. It’s possible they could acquire Escobar and Cruz (not that I think this “story” is legit).
-
FWIW, 40 man is at 39 (I believe). Edit: just saw your responded. I'm pretty sure no one was added to the 40 since the Eaton dfa.
-
I see his salary is $1m. Who is on the hook? Is it the Nats, the team he started with this year?
-
Yeah I assumed he was making pennies but I could be wrong. The 40-man is also at 39 (if I remember and counted correctly).
-
Right which is why I'm not sure that they would sign him. Unless as chisox59 said, they signed him to a minor league deal and then just called him up in a couple days when needed to not have to make an immediate roster move.
-
Agreed. Personally, I think he should have just rode it out until the end of the minor league season and then spoke to the front office in the off-season to see if there was a way a trade could be worked out to literally anywhere for anything. He may have even made it back to the team with rosters expanding by 2 as they normally carry a third catcher (obviously in this case, he would just be an emergency catcher/given the chance to be a pinch-hitter).
