  1. Kinda sounds like last year. Going to be hard to catch lightning in a bottle a second year in a row though.
  2. I feel like it was either @Harold's Leg Lift or @Y2Jimmy0.
  3. When I was thinking about it, I thought maybe Escobar and Romy could make a platoon (give Escobar some more rest). Then I looked it up and realized Escobar has actually been better against lefties than righties throughout his career to the point where I am actually questioning the fit. Edit: and looking at the free agent list, I feel like they will make a trade to fill 2B (with the possibility of Hernandez coming back at a cheaper price *gulps*).
  4. Yeah I'm not concerned either but more for the people who claim we have a glut of guys that only play corner spots + DH.
  5. Injuries are inevitable it seems (unfortunately). Sheets can still see a decent amount of time.
  6. Yeah I don't think anyone here is saying to just give him away for nothing (although I would hate it if he went for Means personally).
  7. Yes please. Eloy Vaughn timeshare in LF and DH, get left handed at RF and 2B through free agency. Sheets in the minors as depth.
  8. Is this what you are hearing?
  9. The team loves corner bats. Schwarber in RF with Burger at 2B. Play softball! I mean ball.
  10. Why is he odd man out? I would think Cueto would be out of the guys they lost.
  11. I’m just not sure Sox will spend enough on the backup job. People here said the $4 mill Piña got was too rich for us.
  12. I guess in that case, you would definitely have to deal Vaughn for pitching or a long-term 2B.
  13. Yeah I’d do backflips if they got Segura straight up for Kimbrel haha
  14. I was thinking the same reading through this thread lol
  15. Yeah, seriously lol
  16. Hopefully Semien or Conforto! Has to be right?
  17. Yeah especially on an NL team that would be rough. Maybe Yankees if they want to ditch Sanchez?
  18. You think he will sign to be a backup or go to a team with a deep lineup that could start him?
  19. Yeah I remember they had a segment on him on MLBN back in like June. His mechanics this year were different from the time he was with Arizona and even 2020 with the Jays (there was a change in mechanics post-trade in 2020 when he was with Jays).
  20. It would be nice if they actually moved Abreu down when he struggles but he seems entrenched in the 3/4 spot of the lineup no matter what.
  21. Some activity around the league and some moves by the Sox would be nice before the lock out.
  22. I never said they don’t make serious offers. But they felt more confident making that deal for 5 years rather than other star pitchers who are younger 7+ years. Having said that, I think Semien could be realistic because he’s not a guy signing for $200+ mill since he’s 31 and could get a high AAV 5 year (or 6) deal rather than a player who can sign for 10 years $300+ mill. Conforto also realistic I would say because he’s not a star getting a crazy deal. 9 figures probably but not you know, 2/300 mill.
