  1. QUOTE (Jake @ May 2, 2017 -> 08:54 AM) Would be criminal to bench Leury when he's been hitting as well as he has It's pretty easy to find playing time all over the diamond for him.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 2, 2017 -> 08:45 AM) Why call up Willy if you can't play him every day? They've been playing him in CF in the minors. Maybe he will play everyday?
  3. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 2, 2017 -> 08:16 AM) What did the Sox end up getting in the Bourjos deal? International bonus money? Cash considerations or a player to be named later. My order of preference: 1. International slot allotment 2. Player to be named later 3. cash When do they have to complete the trade by?
  4. QUOTE (shipps @ May 2, 2017 -> 08:11 AM) I thought we traded him to Tampa. Who am I confusing him with? Peter Bourjos.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ May 2, 2017 -> 07:46 AM) The extra year of service shouldn't be a concern for Delmonico. It's already past that date anyway.
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ May 2, 2017 -> 07:55 AM) Rabbit, how long are they going to keep running Covey out there? Until Lopez can come up? I would assume until Rodon and Shields are both back in the rotation. Unless they trade Holland or Gonzalez.
  7. QUOTE (ptatc @ May 1, 2017 -> 04:55 PM) You would know if you tore your ACL. It immediately swells up and you can't move your knee. Is it by your kneecap? Sounds more like a patella-femoral pain syndrome? Thanks doc! I'll look into it.
  8. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 1, 2017 -> 04:24 PM) Is that what happened to Avi? No problems giving him the day off and really no problem with May getting the ABs. It's just a shame the Sox don't have another intriguing OF like Avi to give some ABs to in a rebuild. Guess they want Garcia down in AAA playing every day. Yeah haven't they been experimenting with him getting at bats in CF? Anyone know how he's looked?
  9. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ May 1, 2017 -> 02:48 PM) Schaller's Pump literally closed yesterday, unfortunately. Never made it there myself. Never been either.
  10. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 1, 2017 -> 01:41 PM) 4/31 games May want to check your calendar.
  11. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 1, 2017 -> 11:59 AM) Ah crap it's Covey day. Hopefully Rodon and Shields can get healthy by the end of May, and Lopez keeps improving (he had a solid start this weekend). Also wouldn't mind trades to happen to fit all three haha
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2017 -> 11:50 AM) Anywhere. Shinnocks. Cork and Kerry. Just stop in for a beer or some food and ask them for a parking pass. You then are golden. Oh I don't even do that haha
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2017 -> 11:48 AM) If you know what you are doing, you can park on the street for free. Right by Schaller's pump and the park over there.
  14. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ May 1, 2017 -> 11:34 AM) I read his comment as "Good broadcast team", but either of your points are valid. I think more than anything I'm just so disappointed how Hawk has destroyed his broadcast pairing with Stone. I don't even mind if Jason isn't the heir apparent to good Hawk, I just want better chemistry than what happens in the road booth. Ah yeah you're right. Dammit haha it was a quick glance while I was working.
  15. How much do announcers really effect one's level of interest in the game they are watching? I realize that the older I've gotten, I really don't care who is in the booth. When I watch games, I'm normally multi-tasking, potentially out where the game may be on without volume, or just watching and appreciating the game.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 1, 2017 -> 11:21 AM) C'mon, a baboon would be better than Swirsky lol. Haha
  17. Yeah, we should have chosen Chuck Swirsky./green And while it is possible they could have found someone better, we also don't know how hard they tried and the amount of interest from others.
  18. The people who hate on Benetti would hate on his replacement...and then his replacement...and then his replacement and so on.
  19. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 1, 2017 -> 10:36 AM) Jurickson Profar was optioned to AAA by the Rangers. Maybe the Sox can try to swing a trade for him. He used to be a top 100 prospect after all and isn't that old. I don't think he ends up going anywhere and I doubt we see him in back in the big leagues until September.

Posted this in the MLB Catch-all thread but figured I could ask there. I've been dealing with a knee injury for a few months. Whenever I sit, stand still, or lay down too long (even sleeping), my knee stiffens and thigh hurt. I think I hyper-extended it in February. When I walk, occasionally, there is a pop in my knee. My buddy has had a torn ACL in his life and thinks that it could be that. What do you guys think? Also really want to know since I'm playing in a baseball league this summer and I catch (yeah, it's awful for the week leading up to the next game). I just don't want to do any more damage to it and figuring out what I should do.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 02:12 PM) I tore my ACL and meniscus and was playing sports with a brace at six months, fully recovered at nine. The ACL/meniscus combo is really s***ty though, as it doesn't let you be aggressive at all to begin rehab. I've been dealing with a knee injury for a few months. 23. QUOTE (bmags @ May 1, 2017 -> 09:33 AM) I think it's the latter. Literally was about to say that word-for-word.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:47 AM) Something interesting, Jacob May, I agree, has no business being on a major league roster, but has anyone checked out Trayce Thompson? After an 0-8 with 3 ks with the Dodgers, he is 1-43 with 19 ks in AAA. Looks like the Sox sold high there. Most knew it...a few here are still unwilling to realize it.
  25. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2017 -> 08:30 AM) Exactly. I've seen people injure themselves just walking down the street. It's too bad. I hope he can fully recover. Some do, some don't. Obviously knee surgery has come a long way the last 20 years, but you never know. Some guys continue to have problems. We do know he will work his ass off to get back to normal. Shifting over to left next season should help him out.
