  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) The rumor was always Aaron Nola if Carlos Rodon was gone. That's who I believe they would have taken.
  2. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) I'd like to see Melky get a stab at some bad pitching to get him rolling. Agree. With a righty on the mound, I expect Melky at DH with Shuck in a corner spot.
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 09:54 AM) I feel good about today. Anxious to see the lineup. It really sucks that cabrera is so awful because we really need a #2 hitter that he was sposeda be. Wouldn't mind a James Loney signing for the 2-spot.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) Sounds like we should see Saladino at SS. It might also be a day to give Cabrera a day off and use Sands or Shuck. Or play either instead of Avi. Heck maybe even both.
  5. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 09:43 PM) I was doing it in my head and missed Richard, Logan, and Torres. Damn. Is Ryan Sweeney out of baseball? Chris Carter in Milwaukee. I'm sure there's other random relievers out there as well. I would also count amateur international free agents (Jose Abreu obviously doesn't count).
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 06:38 AM) Rodon was horrific the first four innings. What "performance" did he give? Why is a split, on the road, with a good team, a downer? I don't know if I'd call the A's a good team. At least in my opinion anyeay. I have them pegged for 5th (Angels 4th).
  7. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) If you can audibly hear "You suck!", your crowd sucks. Unfortunately at the Cell, you hear plenty of audible words.
  8. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:38 PM) I hate this stadium the most with all of it noises Yep. Perfectly fine just getting it over with early.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:33 PM) Yeah you are right. He took about 4 steps after the ball was hit. He could have at least made it a bit closer by freezing on a line drive like you are taught as an 8 year old. Meh. Would have been out anyway. At second base, your secondary takes you far off. Guys getting double off at second isn't too crazy to see.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:27 PM) What the hell is Avila doing? Nothing he could do on that one.
  11. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) Sox getting all the love on a great ESPN2 broadcast. Glad I switched over. They showed Rollins flat footed on that missed dive and had a great shot earlier of Jose and Q mucking it up hard in the dugout. Jose was doing some sort of play acting and was pretty into it. Agreed. It hasn't been a bad broadcast.
  12. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:17 PM) How do you think the Sox got Montas and Wendelken? For some reason I thought he was saying something like "the guys we gave up in the original Peavy deal could have gotten us someone better." Didn't feel like looking back and seeing if it came up in convo . Long day and I need sleep I guess haha my bad.
  13. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:12 PM) Well Montas and Wendelken were critical pieces of trade packages that got two players who will probably start 160+ games for the Sox this year (barring injury). Was responding to a post about the Peavy deal. Edit: wow I read his post wrong for some reason haha long day. I need to get some sleep.
  14. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:09 PM) I liked the Peavy deal at the time but I thought that the Sox could've gotten a better player in return. And looking back at it, the guys we gave up made very minimal impact in the majors.
  15. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) Tyler Kolek had TJ surgery today. Sox really dodged a bullet there. I don't think they would have taken him if he was available to be honest.
  16. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) That Disney money Haha whatever it is, it has me watching.
  17. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:01 PM) He's getting into a rhythm. Who's watching ESPN? I am. Watching games on ESPN, the picture always looks more sharper/crisper than the local channels for some reason.
  18. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 09:23 PM) That was bad location Should have been away. Hitter was looking inside other ptiches. Hips were flying open.
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 09:15 PM) It's blacked out here in chicago I'm south suburbs and it's working fine for me.
  20. For some reason when I'm in my basement, South suburbs of Chicago, I'm not blacked out down there on my iPad. Sometimes I like to enjoy some ps4 while I'm watching the games. Or I put on regular tv as well.
  21. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 11:36 AM) Yep. Give Shuck a start in LF and DH Melky. Robin did say he wanted his bench guys to play before Friday so what perfect time than today? At least for Shuck.
  22. Schaller's Pump. Park on that street in front of it. Have parked there with my family forever and have never gotten a ticker or towed. It's about 10-15 minute walk to the stadium.

  24. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:24 AM) Love his passion It's nice to see in the dugout for a change.
  25. I know it sucks Q gets a no decision, but the Win in the team record is more important either way if he gets the win in a team win or not. He still pitched good enough for us to get a W (potentially) and that's all that matters.
