Pretty awesome that were talking about trading for guys from Oakland that we traded to them many moons on deals we lost by a landslide. Cant wait for them to turn Stiever into a TOR starter and we trade for him 4 years from now.

Idk, if we wanted to trim the playoffs so much than we might not have gotten an opportunity to see a team from the worst division upset LAD and HOU to win a title. Yes the NL east would always have a playoff team but if they went back to the old format with 1 division only? No Atlanta, I think. LAD will always win the most games in this era, lower the amount of playoff competitors and they are far more likely to win more championships, thus further showing that assertion of economic power for front office and on field talent is the best way to win games. Didnt we all get tired of that during the era of New York Yankees baseball? Fuck that, expand playoffs, let some teams in and see if they get hot at the right time. Getting hot isnt just a thing that randomly happens and if it does than the other team got robbed, it takes cohesion has a group and everyone pulling from the same rope in the most intense games of your lives. We are all aware of what that can look like in the playoffs. What if the Cleveland did catch up but the Sox still won 90ish games and we didnt get to see how special it can be when a team gets hot at the right time? Why shouldn't a team that won 90 games.. a pretty damn good record, not have a chance to defend that title? If they lost 90 games sure but the 2006 Sox still had a good year and didnt get to try and defend. Every once in awhile, it may occur that a team who loses more games than they win make it in, but I think I analyzed it awhile back and in some expanded formats, it allowed mostly just teams who won more games than they lost in, which isnt necessarily a bad thing IMO.

Pretty upsetting as I had tickets to game 3 and ended up not being able to go due to some airport craziness. I had a feeling about that game.

Everyone laughed at me when I talked about it during our series and just wanted to blame the Sox for being bad. None of our starters except Giolito who were stellar all year could go 3 innings without getting destroyed and the Astros had the best plate discipline I think I have ever seen from an MLB team. They had our starters by the balls by the 3rd inning. They're still cheating and fuck them and fuck the MLB until this is fixed. Why would you stop cheating when only your bosses got in trouble and there was no demonstrable player punishment? Lol

I still cant believe that I'm the only person only moderately suspicious that the Astros are cheating still. All the credit everyone is giving them here, the fact that none of our really good SPs could make it deep into a game before the Astros figured them out, maybe they do deserve the credit. .. But at 5 LCS in a row and one of the most dominant performances I have ever seen vs the White Sox... I really cant trust that they are legit now considering the players received zero repercussion. Their history simply dictates that I cannot trust that any of this is legitimate.

I dont disagree that they are well run, but also their ability to just blow away offers for the best trade candidates because of it is annoying. Mookie Betts, Max Scherzer, Trea Turner... no other team had a chance. All 3 of those players could have significantly helped the Sox (RF, 2B, Ace SP). Even if they wanted to trade for them, they would have never had a chance tho because Dodgers.

Go Braves. Not going to be a real good look for the MLB when the World Series contenders are one of the caught cheating AL teams and the Dodgers who simply flex their economic might to win. What's the point of fucking competition at this point? If the Sox weren't up and coming, I'd probably drop my interest in this buttcheeks league.

I have a very hard time seeing someone as strong minded as Tim Anderson lie about something because he thinks his bosses will be mad if he doesnt say what they want to hear. Typing it out now, it makes even less sense to think about! The Tim Anderson... suddenly a Yes man.

Maybe, they sure looked like they knew what was coming instead of guessing most of the time. Correa said he would have fallen on his face if it was offspeed but I recall very few Astros looking bad on offspeed... most of the time they just had this uncanny ability to spit on anything close. I think part of the reason we walked so many of them is because worked counts so annoyingly well... again I have not seen a team work counts that well in a long long time. Maybe they just elevated themselves for the playoffs, maybe they fucking cheat. Cant rule either out because of their history.

Really except for game 3, Houston played a perfect series offensively. Your post, your awe of what they were able to do and the mad props you are giving them for being so great is a testament to this. I also havent seen a team perform that well offensively in quite some time! So much so that to me it is all frankly suspicious. Some competitive video games that get littered cheaters make you suspicious of everyone, even if they simply are a really good player. The same thing is happening to me with the Astros. It's almost like the Sox had fresh codes at the beginning of every game, then the Astros figured out the codes and wrecked our starters into oblivion by inning 3. The only time it didnt seem like they had something on us was that 5 inning bullpen stretch... and perhaps Tepera alluded to what he believes may still be happening. The Astros want to point to their road OPS as a reason why they dont cheat, how on Gods earth do they expect me to believe that they havent found a way to cheat on the road too? Fuck the Astros. 5 LCS in a row isnt just because they are good. I think that organization is full of shit and all of them should be banned from baseball. And I have literally no reason to believe theyve stopped cheating because the players received basically zero repercussions.
