  1. I just disagree with that when it's talking about drafting your franchise QB at No. 2. Not only did Pace make a historically bad choice (Mitch didn't have his 5th year option picked up, Mahomes has already won an MVP & Super Bowl. Watson is one of 4 QB's with a career passer rating over 100 (as it currently stands.) On top of it, not only was the selection bad, but the "going all-in" comment comes from moving up one selection to draft Mitch, trading away two 3rd's and 4th. I've said before and I'll continue to say I admire a GM that has conviction and goes after the guys he wants. That's the type of GM I want.......but when you have those strong convictions and make those bold moves.....they have a higher flame out rate. That's why they are bold moves.........and it failed miserably. Again, the entire franchise plan was centered around Mitch. The 52 man roster was built around the idea of having a "cheap" QB at the helm surrounded by a veteran defense that could take the pressure off the offense. The entire franchise doesn't work if the QB doesn't deliver. And he hasn't. Full stop. So I can't just say that the decision to draft Trubisky is just "one" mistake....it's so much bigger than just one stand alone mistake. When Pace made that move, he had to know the possible ramifications, both positive and negative, that came with that decision. Lastly, Mitch is now a FA. He could come back, he could leave. The Bears could go out and find another starter. They could draft a QB. They could just play Foles.....the point is.....I don't want Pace making that decision. He hasn't earned the right to make that decision, based on his previous track record. Just my opinion.
  2. Again.....the Bears situation just isn't complicated. I know they are # 1 in this town and sports radio can't keep saying the same thing over and over.....but Pace built this entire window around the idea they have a high-priced defense with a QB on a rookie deal....that's how you make this work 2018-2021. It didn't. They picked the wrong guy with the No. 2 overall pick. For the 100th time....when you go all-in and bust out....you have to leave the table.
  3. Your solution involved signing a starting QB, that doesn’t have a name. That sort of seems like the easy way out without offering a solution to me....
  4. So how about you answer a question. You don’t want a rebuild. You want everyone back. Fine. What can this team realistically do the next two years? How do they compete for a Super Bowl in the next two years? Lay it out for us. Because If they can’t, blow it up now. Why wait two years?
  5. That check down by Mitch there is his entire career in a nutshell. He just can’t process things quick enough.
  6. But even if Twitter was that...the masses clearly aren’t using it, or don’t want to.
  7. The government didn't limit anyone's access to communications when it comes to Trump not being able to post on a private platform like Twitter. And if that's what you want, I have a hunch that a BUNCH of Trump fans aren't going to like the idea of the government being able to tell private business owners how they should operate. Don't they want less government oversight, not more?
  8. But as others have said, it has zero ties to any sort of government and serves no infrastructure/utility need. I'm sick of millions arguing that speech doesn't have consequence. That their rights are SO infringed because someone told them their hate-filed rhetoric isn't accepted all places. In the middle of their shift at Burger King, if they started telling customers in their drive-thru to "Go fuck themselves" they would be fired. And not a single person would say Burger King was unjust to fire that person. Yes, that idiot will not be arrested for their speech, but they will have to face other consequences for their actions. I don't understand why this is so difficult to comprehend for so many.
  9. Thank you. Right now it’s my biggest pet peeve, drives me fucking NUTS.
  10. It’s going to be “interesting” to see what happens with him, because I don’t think he wants to actually “be” President again, to Ron’s point, he wants to still do rally’s, and he wants to still grift and steal peoples money. But I’m also curious to see if his “base” moves on to someone else in a few years...
  11. And just to avoid any confusion....the same people saying it was Antifa were saying those who did it are Patriots and they have every right to do what they did. So..Antifa good?
  12. I texted a few buddies like 20 minutes the worst of what was happening and said “watch these guys blame it on ANTIFA lol” and I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised they actually tried to do it. I mean, it just defies logic after all of Trump’s rhetoric, all of the posts on Parler, all the threats.....and of course all the actual carnage that happened yesterday.....it couldn’t have been “Patriots” it had to be Antifa. I legit had family posting on Facebook pictures of that Shaman Q guy but most of the image cropped trying to say he was Antifa and that they’ve seen him before...except the full picture has him holding a Q sign and the reason they have seen him before is they’ve watched Stop The Steal rallies. Its all SO stupid.
  13. Say bye for about a week, he'll always be back. Always.
  14. Maybe I spoke too soon.
  15. If the GOP wants to save their party, they should take a hard stance against any support of Trump. It really shouldn't be that difficult, seeing as our nation flat out rejected the entire family just a a few months ago. Totally cut ties, make it a somewhat bi-partisan effort. They've got one shot at it, and this it is. But it will never happen.
  16. It's so weird to post something like that where it takes 3 seconds and a simple set of eyes to prove it wrong, lol.
  17. And he's still following Trump...
  18. I'm about 99.9% sure that's Pence and his wife....
  19. This is so absolutely true. None of us should be remotely surprised at this. They told us this was about to happen, and the President urged them on.
  20. There is never any grey area, with almost all topics. There is a large group that has absolutely made up their minds about Nick after 29 games and it will take a gargantuan effort for him to change the minds of those people. I 1000% disagree with that line of thinking, but such is life.
  21. I start over. I just don’t believe in the talent they have assembled. Moreover, I think the problem is fairly simple. It’s just been beaten to death so we want to talk about something else. You went all-in on Mitch. You used significant capital to acquire him, and decide he was the franchise, he was the guy. You built your team to compete for a Super Bowl with Mitch on his rookie deal. It didn’t work. You failed at finding the right guy for the most important position in sports. Right now the odds for the Super Bowl are Chiefs +175, Green Bay +500, Saints +750 in that order. So Mahomes, Rodgers and Brees. Until you can find “the guy” they aren’t doing anything. You took a shot with Mitch. I applaud them going all-in. It failed. The job for the next guy has to be finding a franchise QB. It makeS figuring everything else out that much easier.
  22. Beast, I wouldn’t allow Ryan Pace to make another first round selection for this team. This roster is heading in the wrong direction, and I wouldn’t wait another year for the bottom to fall out completely
