2020 Election Thoughts
I texted a few buddies like 20 minutes the worst of what was happening and said “watch these guys blame it on ANTIFA lol” and I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised they actually tried to do it. I mean, it just defies logic after all of Trump’s rhetoric, all of the posts on Parler, all the threats.....and of course all the actual carnage that happened yesterday.....it couldn’t have been “Patriots” it had to be Antifa. I legit had family posting on Facebook pictures of that Shaman Q guy but most of the image cropped trying to say he was Antifa and that they’ve seen him before...except the full picture has him holding a Q sign and the reason they have seen him before is they’ve watched Stop The Steal rallies. Its all SO stupid.

2020 Election Thoughts
If the GOP wants to save their party, they should take a hard stance against any support of Trump. It really shouldn't be that difficult, seeing as our nation flat out rejected the entire family just a a few months ago. Totally cut ties, make it a somewhat bi-partisan effort. They've got one shot at it, and this it is. But it will never happen.

It's so weird to post something like that where it takes 3 seconds and a simple set of eyes to prove it wrong, lol.

This is so absolutely true. None of us should be remotely surprised at this. They told us this was about to happen, and the President urged them on.

Madrigal could be ready for opening day
There is never any grey area, with almost all topics. There is a large group that has absolutely made up their minds about Nick after 29 games and it will take a gargantuan effort for him to change the minds of those people. I 1000% disagree with that line of thinking, but such is life.

NFL Thread 2020-2021
I start over. I just don’t believe in the talent they have assembled. Moreover, I think the problem is fairly simple. It’s just been beaten to death so we want to talk about something else. You went all-in on Mitch. You used significant capital to acquire him, and decide he was the franchise, he was the guy. You built your team to compete for a Super Bowl with Mitch on his rookie deal. It didn’t work. You failed at finding the right guy for the most important position in sports. Right now the odds for the Super Bowl are Chiefs +175, Green Bay +500, Saints +750 in that order. So Mahomes, Rodgers and Brees. Until you can find “the guy” they aren’t doing anything. You took a shot with Mitch. I applaud them going all-in. It failed. The job for the next guy has to be finding a franchise QB. It makeS figuring everything else out that much easier.

Beast, I wouldn’t allow Ryan Pace to make another first round selection for this team. This roster is heading in the wrong direction, and I wouldn’t wait another year for the bottom to fall out completely

Sox still talking with Colome
No, you take the napalm approach of arguing with everyone, getting called out on it by multiple members, and thinking everyone else is the problem.

3-7 to finish the season, sneak into the playoffs to get beat...and come back with the same pieces in place for 2021. How can you not get excited for that??!?!?

Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
After doing some reading and listening, I think this is absolutely the case. I think a lot of fans on the North Side could stomach a rebuild/retool right now. They really don't like the current core and have seen it fail numerous times over the last few seasons. I think they are ready for big change. But it's also not that simple. 1. They are frustrated that the core put together only made one World Series. They expected more, as did many others outside Wrigleyville. 2. Ownership over the last 16 months has made multiple blunders that really hurt their credibility, which seems almost unfathomable considering they brought them a World Series Championship in 2016. 3. Furthermore, the Ricketts family talked about how much they loved Wrigley Field, going to games in the summer, siting out in the bleachers....and they've turned Wrigleyville into a Schaumburg shopping center. So you gutted a neighborhood people loved so you could make more of a profit....and now you're seemingly shedding payroll. 4. I think it's starting to feel like a mass exodus over there with both Theo and Kasper leaving unexpectedly, almost seeming like they wanted to get out before the ship went completely underwater. So, with those points in mind......when you trade Darvish for a pitcher who has one year left on his deal and 4 young lottery tickets....the harsh reality really sets in that the ride is not only over....but it's going to be another LONG rebuild that isn't 100% driven by baseball decisions, but also somewhat forced by ownership. I think the feeling on the Darvish trade is different if instead of 5 players they got 2 back.....but it was the caliber of Eloy and Cease back in 2017. People know the rebuild is still happening, but you got young, identifiable prospects people are excited to follow and see develop. They got 4 guys that while may turn out to be studs...are a LONG way away. That's just my take on it, but when you add all that up, you're going to have some unhappy customers.

The funniest thing to me about it is in Rick's Twitter bio, he writes "Once went fishing with Nick Saban" IN HIS OWN BIO- Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
I would say "Bye-Bye" but we all know you'll be back.....- Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
Just put that twerp in the Walls of Jericho.....- Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
Just to be clear here so I have this right... You’re not only saying you are making “logical arguments” but also calling me immature, while at the same time crediting the Padres for making trades in real life that you yourself would make in a video game. Is that right? And for the record, I’ll bring up your temper tantrum as much as I feel like. It’s a message board. You made the decision to tell the world you were done with the White Sox. Fine. But when you come back and want to use the word “we” like you are some loyal, die-hard fan, I’m 100% going to call you out on that. Deal with it.- Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
I can’t believe you told everyone. I thought we agreed this stayed between us?!?! Bastard- Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
Stop saying “we” Not only do you have 0.00% to do with the Chicago White Sox organization, but you “renounced” your fandom after the Sox failed to sign Machado. There is no “we” here. Go away- Blake Snell and Yu Darvish traded to San Diego
Don’t disagree at all, and one of my biggest gripes. And I fall victim to it myself. Yes, there isn’t an endless treasure chest of funds available every year, but they’ve never spent like a major-market team. And holes can 100% be filled by simply using money. Now I can’t argue with how money has been allocated thus far for the 2021 roster, they really aren’t holding the bag on any bad deals which is somewhat rare for a team, but in theory that should be more reason for them to spend now. - Sports Media discussion
