  1. And good on Marvel for taking a shot at something totally different. I assume Falcon and Winter Solider is going to be pretty straight forward, which is fine, but at nice to see them taking chances with different shows.
  2. Feel like the villains are going to be AIM?
  3. Not sure what the hell WandaVision was, but I didn’t hate it
  4. Like...REAL bad. When I turned it on, I immediately said “What the hell is a Pius Suter?” It’s a terrible, terrible roster.
  5. lol, that wasn't clear from 2k5. Yoan feels like Abreu was very deserving.
  6. Teamwork, effort, facing adversity, culture……THESE ARE NOT THINGS FANS WANT TO HEAR ABOUT
  7. They gave them 4-5 talking points to use, and just keep hammering them. The problem is the talking points are wrong. They are trying to protect themselves and gave zero thought to how this will play with the media. I just don't understand how franchises continue to get this wrong year after year.
  8. The system is so broken. Colleen Kane asked George "What did you hear from Ryan and Matt that made you confident in keeping them? What was their plan?" He talked about how they communicated well, they like work together, they were well-spoken and strong in their convictions. How are George and Ted qualified to make these decisions? What do they know more than any of us about what the right plan is to take this team to a Super Bowl?
  9. As expected, this presser from Ted and George is brutal.
  10. I don't disagree on Nagy, especially with how they built him up when he was hired, the offensive mastermind. I don't know why, as Chicago fans, we continue to fall for it time after time.
  11. I'd really, really enjoy hearing what was said/thought that Pace deserves a 7th year to try and win a playoff game.
  12. Nothing changes at the top, Pagano is the scapegoat, and on and on the story goes.
  13. I think the only way they cut him loose if he is just god awful in Year 3 (or was to suffer some terrible injury earlier) The money is going to have to be paid. And as others have mentioned, as morbid as it is....if Hendricks sucks and the Sox decide they don't even want him on the team in Year 4.....Jerry probably isn't paying him most of the money himself....he'll be 97 I believe when the payments to Hendricks would stop...
  14. All fair points, Jas. They shouldn’t be done. They need a few more pieces. I think they could be minor/mid-level moves, don’t have to be top-tier FA’s, but this move shouldn’t be it....keep going.
  15. Where would you like them to allocate those resources? Honest question.
  16. I like it. Sign a SP, maybe add one more bat like LaStella, call it an off-season.
  17. Seems like that’s what it took to get the 3 years. Sox 100% beat out other teams for Hendricks.
  18. We just agree to disagree then. I just don't see that optimism. Heading into next season, the 12-4 Bears will have been 3 years ago. Since that season, the defensive core has gotten progressively older, and worse. With them picking 20 this year....I just don't see real reasons to expect drastic change on either side of the ball. And without drastic change....they are a fairly bad football team that beats up on teams worse than them.
  19. No offense Ross, but a few posts ago you called fans "meatballs" for some of their plans....but when I challenged your plan, the response I was given was basically "Yeah I haven't given much thought to my plan, I just don't want my team to rebuild next year, so maybe they can sign some guys that used to be good and hope for the best." That's fine to take that position, but when you're challenging everyone else in this thread to present opinions rather than just complaining, you better bring something better to the table than "I don't know." I'm not the biggest Bears fan in the world. I understand for those of you that are, you don't want to see this defense blown up. I GET IT. But as an observer....I just don't see a way out for this franchise as currently constructed. I don't see a quick fix. I don't see a way to "re-tool" on the fly. Even if Mitch ended up being great say in 2018, and he's turned into your franchise QB, the window with this current unit would already starting to inch closer to closing. Guys are getting older and more importantly, much more expensive. It's easy to stay competitive with a great QB, but the clock was already ticking on this group, and the reality is they never capitalized on having that world-class D like they did in 2018. That 12-4 season was the year. In your heart of hearts.......if you can't figure out a way to get this team to a Super Bowl contender in the next two seasons.......what's the point? You want more of these seasons?
  20. So with Cam Newton as a starter for the Bears in 2021, a guy that posted a 82.9 QB rating in New England (Mitch had a 93.5 rating in 2020 for reference).....what is Cam doing to this team that Mitch wasn't able to? How much better are the Bears going to be in 2021? What are they competing for? Because if it isn't for the Super Bowl in the next two seasons....I don't know what you're doing this exercise for.
