What's sad for me is I haven't checked this thread in a few days, I've seen how many pages it is, and I just don't have the energy for all of this. We all go so much shit going on in our lives...while I think the owners come out looking far worse in this, I've gotten to a point where I just don't have the energy to care. You guys don't want to play baseball? Fine, I'm sure I'll find something else to do with my time. Which I don't want, I love baseball, and I'll be excited when it comes back....but I just can't get that emotionally invested at this point, fire isn't there.

This actually seems fairly realistic, but I also have a weird optimism that something happens sooner. MLB has really given us no reason to have any faith in them, but for whatever reason I feel like all the bad press will eventually force things through and they don't end up missing that many games.

I disagree with the point of you trying to tell us you aren't taking sides, when you've literally told us you side with the owners.

1. What's your point here? The owners deserve a break because there have been times when they've decided to give a player what turns out to be a bad contract? 2. Actually, no you couldn't. It's MUCH easier to put together a list of highly-performing players on a minimum salary contract than it is to put together a list of under-performing veterans on FA deals. 3. It's overpaid, not overplayed. For someone that likes to call out mistakes of others, I'd make sure my own bed is made first.

Or really has no respect for himself, seeing as he has said he would basically work for free to play baseball, and someone like Leury Garcia is incredibly lucky to be making what he is making, like the owners are doing him this gigantic favor, yet doesn’t mention the years spent by a player to work on his craft, be able to play multiple positions at the highest level in the sport, etc. To PoppySox, these asshole players should be thanking their lucky stars anyone will pay them! Because after all, when I pay money to go to the ballpark, I’m paying to see Jerry Reinsdorf play against Tom Ricketts, why would I want to see the players?!?

It was a perfectly “fine” episode. Wnd I say that to agree with what you said. It was just kind of there, didn’t leave me wanting more, it was just fine. My biggest issue is there are never any “stakes” with Star Wars because they refuse to kill even somewhat minor characters. If they could have an action figure at some point, they basically have a “I’ll live forever” card and because of that, there is so much less weight behind the conflicts on screen.

And she has totally transformed herself for this role. I really forget it's an actress sometimes watching, which is pretty incredible.
