  1. In fact, Will Smith was the favorite to win for Best Actor coming into the night, the first time he has won the award. Literally the highest award you can win as an actor. And NO ONE is talking about him winning or his performance, instead it’s about him slapping a comedian over a joke. Why in the hell would Will Smith want that? What is the “deal” they worked out for this to all make sense. You explain that to me, otherwise the whole “staged” theory falls apart.
  2. Here is why the "staged" argument doesn't make sense to me. Why do Chris Rock and Will Smith agree to it? What is the benefit they get out of it? It's not like either are in desperate need for PR. This is going to follow both of them for years. If it was staged, what is the conversation Chris Rock and Will Smith have? How does it make sense for Chris Rock to be a part of it? How does it make sense for Will Smith to be a part of it? That's where the "staged" argument breaks down for me. Neither have any motive to be part of this "staged" event.
  3. By the hush of the audience, after Will Smith started shouting at Rock, it seemed like that's when most knew it was "real" Just so crazy that Will Smith would get up literally minutes later and give a speech on showing love. being God's vessel....after literally walking up to a guy and slapping the shit out of him for making a joke about his wife's hair loss.
  4. I mean, the Twitter group "defending" Will Smith is just insane. And so is the rest of Hollywood for giving him a standing O for winning an Oscar moments later. It was a joke, from a legendary comedian. Will Smith had ZERO right to put his hands on him.
  5. The Silence of the Lambs scene in the new Jackass is the hardest I’ve laughed in a very long time.
  6. You seem like a fairly smart person if I’m remembering your posts from the past. You’re playing dumb if you think people want Ruiz, Foster and Burr over Kelly, Graverman and Kimbrel. Yes, the three latter pitchers are better. Saying people are upset over that point is very disingenuous. People are upset the bullpen is seemingly the only area they upgraded. Read this from November: https://www.google.com/amp/s/chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2021/11/8/22770148/white-sox-gm-rick-hahn-heads-to-gm-meetings-looking-to-improve-a-good-team%3F_amp%3Dtrue Hahn is quoted: “The postseason performance was disappointing. The postseason performance was frustrating. It highlighted certain areas where we need to get better.” “We have work to do.” I don’t feel that Kelly, Graverman and keeping Kimbrel is what we had in mind with that quote. I don’t feel like he’s made this team that much better in 2022 than 2021. Yes, this should be a very good team. But given the Sox reluctance to pay big money in free agency, as well as having an absolutely terrible farm system…I believe they have a very small window to bring home a Championship and they have done an awful job of helping those chances the last 6-8 months.
  7. So when in your eyes do the Sox cross the threshold of not being smarter than everyone else and actually failed this off-season? What date is that on your calendar?
  8. Anderson is suspended, right?
  9. Seems clear as the days go on that they were not anticipating this offseason, seemingly had no backup plan when their original intentions didn't materialize and are going to attempt to "add" at around the deadline. Which may end up working, seeing as the AL Central shouldn't be that big of a buzzsaw. But it still doesn't excuse what has taken place the last 8 months.
  10. What an offseason! Just an incredible performance by these guys, really getting the fan base fired up.
  11. In 2022 it's seemingly impossible to even bring up the mention of politics without people hammering their keyboards until their fingers bleed.
  12. Just the most insane offseason of all time.
  13. Correct. Which is why many have an issue with picking up the option on Kimbrel, seemingly not being willing to add in other areas because of it. Every team has a budget they work in. I expect the FO to create the best possible team within that working budget. I don't believe the Sox have done a good job executing on that plan over the last 9 months.
  14. I don't disagree with this idea, either. I think the point is the Sox have other fairly serious needs that haven't been addressed, and them spending money on the bullpen seems to be the reason why, which has people upset, which I also understand.
  15. Yeah, I tend to agree with you on this one. I don't totally buy the negotiation tactic defense, especially in this case. If the Sox are actually engaged with Boras on Conforto, they're talking an Boras knows where the Sox are currently at. One side picks up the phone when something changes. But they don't need Bruce Levine sending messages on the radio to communicate their position.
  16. Do you know what's stopping the Sox from doing both? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
  17. Again, reading comprehension is a skill, and one you seem to be lacking. The comment from OP was "I was more excited about the team heading into last year than I am this year." That doesn't mean OP isn't excited about this season, it means they were more excited in 2021. If they were at a 10 in 2021 and an 8 in 2022, that doesn't mean they "aren't excited about THIS team" I don't understand why this is so difficult for you.
  18. You show me where I said that, and I'll give you a gold star for the day. Seems like you have a reading comprehension problem as well. Makes sense.
  19. This is incredibly false. But you seem to be in a nasty habit of just making up statements and thinking they'll stick. The Sox have been ranked as having the worst system in the league by multiple publications. When people that are paid to give these assessments create their Farm System Rankings, they don't penalize teams for having "young" prospects lol. It's a very bad farm system at the moment. There are very few high ceiling guys currently in the system, and very few players (especially pitchers) that are ready to help the 2022 and 2023 White Sox.
  20. You have a very poor understanding of how baseball works.
