  1. Former Rays executive. Per Fegan. Seems like a good thing. https://soxmachine.com
  2. It’s not a bad idea. I always suspected he takes his at bats in the field with him and loses focus. Left field he can just catch the ball and hit the cutoff man.
  3. ESPN’s headline article predicts Murakami signs with the White Sox. “Prediction: Chicago White Sox.Murakami's deadline to sign is Dec. 22, so we're running out of time. His market still seems wide open. The Phillies could also be an interesting fit, or maybe the Los Angeles Angels want to do something. Indeed, if any of these top 10 free agents land in a surprising spot, Murakami might be the one. The White Sox have money to spend -- their current estimated payroll is just $68 million and that includes $20 million for Luis Robert Jr., who might be traded. They have a desperate need for power and Murakami fits at either third or first, depending on where Miguel Vargas ends up. This would be a nice roll of the dice for a White Sox team that looks to be on the rise.”
  4. Personally, I’m not signing any bat-first guy to a big contract when there are legitimate concerns they can’t hit velocity. Well, personally I’m not signing anybody, but you get the idea.
  5. I think their comp pick is in the 35th overall range. I reckon the talent we could push down to that range would be better than any prospect we could trade for.
  6. I would trade him for a comp pick centered deal in a heartbeat. One of those picks with our bonus pool would be awesome. But who knows, we’ll have to wait and see.
  7. R/R, low OBP, high whiff, bad defense, and slow. Stick him at first and you’ve got your Andrew Vaughn replacement.
  8. Not sure if this helps or hurts Robert’s value. They’ve been about the same hitter the past two seasons, but Robert brings more to the table and will start the season 5 years younger. Is that worth the difference? Who knows. If anything maybe it’ll put some pressure on the Mets.
  9. I think having an agreement in place is important, as opposed to hypotheticals. Whether that results in more spending remains to be seen. I’m not holding my breath, just think it’s noteworthy.
  10. Prior to the agreement with Ishbia I believe his son was going to take over the team, which might have been a deterrent for kicking the can down the road. Now that it’s not his son, maybe? I’m expecting him to pull the football away like he’s always seemingly done, but circumstances are a little different. I don’t think this is the off-season they go for it, regardless.
  11. I’m hoping Jerry might be more inclined to sign some decent sized contracts knowing Ishbia is on the hook for the back half.
  12. 45 days might be doable, but he’s gonna miss a good chunk of the year recovering from a torn ACL.
  13. Currently the top headline at MLBTR. It’s an older post they updated. The mention of Crawford and Chace is my own, though.
  14. Rosenthal is saying the Phils had recent interest in trading for Robert, which isn’t exactly shocking. I don’t like Crawford, but Moises Chace would be a good get.
  15. This is missing an arrow from SS to C. It’s called the TA line. im sorry but that will never stop being funny (to me)
  16. 41st man on the Braves is the 38th (or whatever our 40 man is at) man for us. Makes sense at this juncture. My guess is they see something they want to try with him. If it works, great. If not just waive him. I wish him luck.
  17. You could have set the example by not responding.
  18. This forum has gone from a beacon of white Sox discussion to an absolute black hole. Lol lol best of luck.
