  1. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 16, 2016 -> 03:04 PM) And his size. Don't think it's his size if Carlos Sanchez is doing it.
  2. I want Reddick. Realistic, shouldn't cost a ton as an impending FA, very good player with a solid glove.
  3. If abreu doesn't get on I think we see Rollins come in for Sanchez
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 11, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) 3 times? People need to stay away from you. Rugby's a rough game, man
  5. I've had my teeth through my lip three times. A couple stitches and he's fine. Should be good for Friday if that's all it is. It isn't a bit deal.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 10, 2016 -> 07:50 PM) Scott Carroll vs their bullpen? Because that is what we got lol Duke should be good for a couple. Albers for one. After that, pretty much just Carroll.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:15 PM) Sale is good. Saladino should start to play more. Score more runs.
  8. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) Weird to see so many 2 strike counts but so few strikeouts for Sale. I like it. He's diversifying his ways to get guys out. He's a beast.
  9. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:11 PM) I'd rather have Markakis than Bruce. And I'm not all that hot on Markakis either. Agreed
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:11 PM) He has 8ks in 13 ABs. I think even Matt Davidson is jealous. Little early to be too optimistic, but Davidson has had a great week at AAA after a rough start.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) He's way stronger than Crede. 2006 Crede was pretty much prime Joe Crede. Prime Todd Frazier is gonna hit 35 bombs. That's like hitting 40-45 back in 2006. Crede's the better defender though. I don't know about "stronger" necessarily. I just think a realistic upside for us as fans is 2006 Crede. 30ish homers, good BA, low OBP, solid D And I know 2006 Crede was prime Joe Crede. That why I specified the season. Read.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:54 PM) Nice. I am also not watching the game so I wouldn't put much stock in my insights. TELL ME MORE!!!!
  13. I've been thinking of comps for Frazier, and I think 2006 Crede is an ideal/realistic upside.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) 85 pitches. Unlikely he goes the distance. Obviously Robertson for the 9th....who fills the gap today, you think?
  15. Sale is pulling a Roy Halladay. Sure, he can strike you out. But he's leaning towards quick, soft-contact. I like it.
  16. The shots of the "K-Zone" are depressing. Just show replays of the K itself, please.
  17. I think he was safe. The fact Robin didn't even bother to check is just plain lazy.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 04:45 PM) Every time I see a thread or comment like this about Montas my brain flashes back to a pitcher Arizona had named Max Scherzer. Big fastball but had some inconsistency, lost a couple mph one year, walked 40 people in 74 innings his first stop at AA, "his delivery means he may not hold up as a starter long term". Probably motivated Arizona to let him go for Ian Kennedy. 150 innings at AAA this year as a starter and anything else is shooting yourself in the foot. If he has to move to the pen at some point, let that be after doing everything right with him on the road as a starter. If you've got a guy with top of the rotation stuff, put him on a path to be at the top of the rotation when he's 27. Don't sabotage that path out of some ludicrous fantasy that we're one middle reliever away. I think the general consensus with Frankie is to try him as a starter, and hopefully have him develop a half decent changeup A 100mph fb and good-to-plus slider makes for a nice backup plan, however. The Sox know how to develop arms, and they will do so accordingly.
  19. We should also give them Sale and Abreu and then take turns jerking off Theo. This is just blind fandom and embarrassing for actual Cub fans.
  20. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 02:44 AM) Videos of him slamming his helmet down, punching a water cooler, huffing around enraged in the dugout answered the "rage-filled" equation. And his nickname from Oakland fans was "breh". The famous shirtless, 40oz pictures help support him being a "bro", outside of the Oakland fans calling him such. In case you were wondering, Nick Swisher was the last "bro" we had. Not quite as rage-filled though. Geez, punched a water cooler? Call the commissioner. Blue Jays fans make fun of Donaldson for his man-bun and bro-attitude. They struggle on a daily basis to work through it. Pray for them. Swisher didn't work out. That was 7/8 years ago. Get over it.
  21. I've actually been thinking he and Nate could form a nasty duo. I'm sure I'm not alone. Not exactly a creative thought. But it doesn't mean he will never be a SP, either.
