It’s not a bad strategy to shuffle through waiver claims to eat up garbage innings. Maybe you get lucky on a guy and he becomes an asset (even a slight one) like Gomez last season. Bido…does not look like that guy lol

I would say no. I think Gomez was a notable part of the return. Still looking like a good deal so far. The Cease trade is still TBD in my mind. Thorpe and Zavala can swing it either way.

Also, on the subject of CF of the future, don’t forget about Zavala. Doing well in AA so far, still only 21, still toolsy.

Yeah, he’s worth following. Drafted 5th or 6th round last year. Showed a ton of power and good contact in the SEC, just seemed like it had to be one or the other. Looks like he’s doing both now.
