  1. Maybe this is me getting old, but social media is the goddamn devil.
  2. Until John Rocker with an oversized smile is named their mascot/logo and then it’s back to square one.
  3. If the Sox aren’t interested in giving him a chance I think there will be some team with a valuation of him high enough to give something of value back. Not suggesting a haul, but interesting bullpen arm or something.
  4. It does say they have interest.
  5. Hopefully you don’t become an asshole.
  6. There’s an old expression. If you hate something too much you become it. I would think about it.
  7. Lance Lynn was traded for market value. Move the fuck on.
  8. Just when you think you’re out, Ricky kisses your cheek with an extension.
  9. The first step is admitting you have a problem.
  10. If another bat isn’t signed I agree 100% it’s horseshit. But if they sign another lefty OF bat...ok. Not my ideal, but rotating DH makes some sense too. Seems like they’re being aggressive. I have lots of opinions too, but biting my proverbial tongue until I see where the pieces land.
  11. Anyone with a clue evaluates off-season moves at the conclusion of the off-season.
  12. They’ve done a great job at cost control/certainty
  13. There’s gotta be some arb raises in there, but I’ve spent zero time thinking about it. Probably not much.
  14. Pusha t should provide Eaton’s walk up music.
  15. Michael stillman’s son
  16. I’d probably do that, and I don’t even particularly like Lynn.
  17. more words came after the “...” that explicitly say he didn’t think cease had no chance. His point was that cease can’t locate his fastball (true) and that he’s skeptical of his ability to rectify this (fair). You seem to think this means he thinks cease is doomed, and based your response off of that. You were rebutting an argument that wasn’t made. as for your argument that young pitchers who can’t locate their fastball are doomed, i agree they aren’t. Using the top, just estimating, .0001% of likely outcomes is a stretch, but gio is more plausible. The likelihood of reaching that level isn’t good, but it’s possible. That’s the gamble. Some are willing to take it some aren’t. anyways I’m going to leave it at that on my end bc you probably agree these back and forths get annoying for everyone.
  18. To be fair, he didn’t say no chance, he said 50/50 at best. I also don’t think comparing any young, unestablished player to a hall of famer is fair...Especially freaks like Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson who are the ultimate exception to just about every rule. I’m not arguing one way or another, just my thoughts on those two things.
  19. Yes..If it wasn’t for the wife of a non-tender candidate it would be the 1950’s again.
  20. I know a way we can get Barry Bonds and Ken Griffey Jr....and we won’t have to give up that much!
  21. He’s bad defensively. He’s not young. He’s still a pretty good hitter, though.
  22. Retirement is trying to sign machado.
  23. Just messing around dude. I don’t think my way of teasing and joking transfers well to the internet and I doubt I’ll ever get used to it.
  24. They’ve done well getting the most out of guys, so I’m all for it.
  25. Weird because we speak the same language. We should have the issues and concerns and be immediate best pals.
