  1. This was my first time listening to a Bill Walton broadcast. To be honest, I found him annoying. A little publicity doesn’t hurt though, so I’m glad they did it. Also, comparing him to Stone and the whole “dead-air” argument (which isn’t even applicable to television as long as there’s still a visual of the broadcast) is ridiculous.
  2. Every time I read this thread title I read it to the tune of Benny and the Jets
  3. Haha gotcha. Missed that.
  4. Surprised about the optimism for Burdi. I haven’t seen him pitch at all since coming back, but reports aren’t very flattering. He could always rebound, but I worry it has been enough time that his stuff should have already been closer to what it was if it’s ever going to get there again. I said Ruiz just because we’ve seen flashes of what he can do when he’s on and he hasn’t been pitching as long so his wrinkles are understandable.
  5. I must have missed the message that this thread was (supposed to be) about. Anyone care to fill me in?
  6. I just hope Gerrit Cole has friends and family aren’t horrible at baseball.
  7. Just take a deep breath and send all of us an autograph.
  8. It’s true, not so much the comp, but the unfair labels guys get. Javy would thrive in this environment. Show everybody every pitch first two times through.
  9. I noted this in today’s milb game thread. Haven’t seen either, but nice to see them get some attention. heuer got some love from FG too (albeit of the fantasy variety) which is nice to see. I saw him pitch in Arizona and was immediately a fan.
  10. Maybe noted elsewhere, but the crew at FanGraphs just moved Bailey to 30th rank among Sox prospects. Stiever also moved up to 19.
  11. I’m going to bid $1000 to talk with Rick Hahn. If I like his answers I’ll put down another $1000. It’s not the most guaranteed money, but I think it’s the best offer.
  12. Yeah, there’s a fairly massive gap in k/bb ratios between Robert and Franco that makes it a pretty easy decision.
  13. I think it’s smart to have goals laid out, but his body will probably do the dictating when it comes to plans.
  14. Pretty cool that you compiled so many. Seems like if you took the time to do that it would be a waste not to share.
  15. It would be like the Rays trading Wander Franco, Liberatore, and a solid third piece for him if you equate the Sale trade.
  16. Really impressive. He had him fooled but he kept his hands back and murdered it.
