McCann from NYY to HOU
This has to make you wonder who the White Sox are going to have at catcher in 2017. I would like to think that McCann would have been a upgrade over their present catchers.

How would you feel emotionally if/when Sale is traded?
At the end of the season Carlos Rodon said it would be a sad day for the team if Chris Sale is no longer pitching for the White Sox.

Pros and cons of trading Sale and Q this offseason
I find it hard to believe that you can call Cespedes garbage. I would love to see a middle of an order that has Abreu, Cespedes and Frazier.

Jason Castro signs with Twins at 3 years 24.5 million
Have the team sign Castro and then sign Cespedes and it will be a Merry Christmas for White Sox fans.

Braves among teams showing interest in chris sale
I find it interesting that the Braves who won 68 games in 2016 are trying to acquire Sale and the White Sox who won 78 games in 2016 are trying to trade Sale.

Pros and cons of trading Sale and Q this offseason
My off season plan for 2017 is very simple. Keep Sale+Quintana and sign Cespedes and Castro as free agents.

Pros and cons of trading Sale and Q this offseason
Judging by what I've been reading everywhere it looks like Sale is going to be moved for prospects. Unproven prospects. Would anybody be surprised to see that most of those prospects turn out to be a bust? Remember the infamous White Flag trade when the key to the trade was Mike Caruso? KW said that Caruso was a grinder type of player who White Sox fans would come to love. Caruso was a grinder but he had one major flaw, he couldn't play shortstop. Every ball hit to him was an adventure. After 2 seasons he was gone and he was never seen again in MLB. Trading Sale and Quintana could turn out to be the biggest PR disaster since the White Flag Trade. I'm really worried that we're in some real dark years on the South Side of Chicago. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

2017 Season TicketPrice Increase
I'm getting the impression the organization doesn't really care what the fans think. I received my renewal season ticket package this week. I've called my sales rep a few times to get some information about my package. She hasn't called me back as of yet. Looking at the season ticket brochure it seems to me that they don't have alot of sales reps working for them. You would think somebody would have the decency to call me back. I'm getting the feeling that the organization is really preparing for a real bad 2017 White Sox baseball season. I hope I'm wrong but that's how I'm reading this. Other teams have already made some moves to improve their teams for 2017. The White Sox have done nothing so far.

Northern Illinois University football game at USCF
I went to the game. I was surprised at the enthusiasm of the crowd. They made alot of noise for only 10,000 people. It would make more sense to have the game played on a weekend. NIU is not really a good draw. I noticed that NIU only had 11,000 at their Homecoming game a few weeks ago. When I was a student there it was common to have crowds of less than 10,000 at the games. All in all, I enjoyed the game. I hope they have it every year on the great South Side of Chicago.

White Sox listening on Frazier
If the team moves Frazier who plays third base? Matt Davidson? You trade a player who just hit 40 home runs for a prospect?
-
Free Agent Targets
It's very simple. Have the White Sox sign Cespedes. Everything changes for the better if he's playing on the White Sox next year.

Jose Fernandez dead
I've read where he had numerous types of drugs in his body when he died. What does that say for MLB drug testing?

The Decline of White Sox Fan Culture
I heard that the store on 35th street, "Grandstand" has new owners. Has anybody heard anything to confirm this?

Cespedes Watch 2016/2017
I don't care how the White Sox do it but sign Cespedes. The team needs his bat and it would for once be a positive PR move for the franchise. Rather then trade either Sale and Quintana which would be another PR disaster, simply sign Cespedes and the 2017 White Sox season becomes a more positve situation.

Price rising for Sale and Q
A friend of mine who lives downstate is a big Cardinals fan. He told me over the weekend that the Cardinals have serious interest in Adam Eaton. I don't know if the White Sox want to trade Eaton and I don't know if the Cardinals have any players we would want in return.

Rumors that Cespedes is opting out
The latest rumor is that the Giants are willing to spend big money to sign Cespedes.

Poll: Are you still watching games?
I watch as many games as I can. What is life without White Sox baseball?

Baseball cards inside Chicago Tribune today
1) Voting Kittle over Minoso was absolutely nuts. Evidently the younger people who voted were not aware of how good a ballplayer Minoso was. 2) I'm wondering if they put the Santo card in there to aggravate the White Sox fans. Ventura won the White Sox poll. His card should have been in there.

September 18th Game Thread: White Sox at Royals
Most fans seem to think that Ventura won't be back next year managing the White Sox. Everybody seems to think he won't ever be a MLB manager again. I watched the game today and i couldn't help but wonder. In todays game the White Sox had A. Garcia, Sanchez. L. Garcia, Smith, Schuck and Turner in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if these players were no longer with the White Sox next year. I also wouldn't be surprised if these players were no longer in MLB after this season. If any of these players are on a 2017 Opening day MLB roster I would be surprised.

U.S. Cellular Field history...
It seems like alot of cities want to build stadiums for teams. I read where the State of Nevada just approved $750 million for a new football stadium for the Raiders. I'm under the impression that the money is coming from the tax payers. Unless the city of Oakland comes up with a new stadium it looks like the Raiders are moving to Vegas.

U.S. Cellular Field history...
1)The second level of those useless club level seats serves the same purpose as a level of suites. The next time you go to the park just look how different the upper deck would look if it only had one level of suites. It would have been a tremendous upper deck. 2) I'm in a 27 game package. If they change my section to a 81 game package, I could lose my tickets in my section. If the powers to be make my package where I have to sit in the upper deck I would not renew my package.

U.S. Cellular Field history...
The 3 levels of suites made the upper deck what it is today. JR wanted 3 levels of suites. 1 level of suites would have made the upper deck a great place to sit. 2 levels of suites would have made the upper deck decent. 3 levels of suites has made the upper deck lousy. It has ruined the park. The 3 levels of suites was ordered by JR. It was his doing and it will be the main reason why no tears will be shed by anybody when this stadium is knocked down. The team is basically giving those upper deck tickets away and still nobody wants to sit up there. I've been a Season Ticket holder for years and if they ever move me upstairs in the upper deck, I will stop going.

FutureSox is taking notes
I would like to see a White Sox collectors site. I have a massive White Sox memorabilia collection. I would like to see what other White Sox fans have in their collections.

2017 Lineup
It would be easy to contend in 2017. Keep the starting pitching the team has now and then sign Wilson Ramos from the Nationals and Cespedes from the Mets this off season. Cespedes MIGHT leave New York. By signing these 2 players it would solve alot of our problems. I've always been very good at telling other people how to spend their money. I'm hoping that JR signs these 2 players.

We should do some polls to pass the time and vent
For the 4th year in a row I will be glad when this White Sox 2016 season comes to an end. I already wish it was over with. I'm a season ticket holder and I'm still going to go to the remaining games but my heart isn't in this anymore. I'm tired of losing for years and I'm tired of meaningless baseball games in September.
