I think its fair to say that Quero doesn't fit into the White Sox plans. I would think he won't be with this team/organization after this year.

Older Chicago fans might remember Tribune writer Dave Condon. Every year he predicted that both the White Sox and Cubs would win the pennant. Every year I predict the White Sox will be in the playoffs and the Cubs won't be in the playoffs.

I'm not surprised one bit.

Great victory but still, Colson Montgomery is useless offensively unless he hits a home run. I read recently where he said he's not concerned about having a low batting average. I wish he felt differently.

Great game. The crowd was really into the game. Also, the Guillen jersey that was given out was really nice.

The less said about this game the better. More importantly Noah Schultz should not be in the starting rotation. If they can't bring up anybody from the minors to start, the simple solution is to put Fedde back in the starting rotation.

I don't know why you think this a surprising season. This is a good White Sox team. I will be surprised if the team doesn't make the 2026 playoffs.

Luis Arraez has a career BA of .318 and he gets traded every year. I find that amazing. You would think some team would keep him because of his hitting.

The Rays have the best home record in the AL. They are averaging 16,995 fans a game. Tonight with 2 first place teams they drew 20,661. The new owners of the Rays have told the city of Tampa they must approve their new proposed stadium this coming month of August. I wonder whats going to happen if the new stadium is not approved. I'm under the impression that Orlando is willing to build them a new stadium.

I find it difficult to believe that Hicks couldn't pitch 4/5 innings as a starter.

The team needs another starting pitcher. Why not put Jordan Hicks in the starting rotation and see how it works out. He has been very good in the bullpen. Put him in the starting rotation and lets see what happens.

I can't imagine him on the White Sox or most of other teams for that matter. It should be a very interesting week coming up. Looks like Schultz won't be with the team too much longer. The team needs at least one starting pitcher and a catcher who can hit. I don't know if the team can fill their holes from the farm system. We shall see.

I was there that night. It was another low point under the Veeck ownership. The media loved Veeck. i never understood it. When he sold the team to JR there weren't too many White Sox fans who were upset when he left. i couldn't believe it when he was voted into the MLB HOF.

The Cardinals just signed their rookie JJ Wetherholt to a long term big money contract. I wonder if Getz is going to try to sign any of the young White Sox players to a long term contract.

Its July 9, 2026. The team is still in first place. Other than myself I don't think many fans thought they would be in first place at this date.

I would think that all that TIF money wouldn't be spent for just 20 soccer games a year. They must feel the White Sox stadium is a done deal at that location.

Schultz is scheduled to pitch Sunday. I wonder if somebody else will pitch instead of him.
