  1. A couple more moves like this should put the team in 2026 Playoff contention!!!!
  2. I can't understand why the owners would lock out the players. The players union is never going to agree to a salary cap so what would be the purpose of a lock out?
  3. 1) Somebody posted that if JR sold the team now the taxes would be about $550 million dollars. Does anybody know what the taxes would be if he passed away? Would it be alot less than $550 million dollars? 2) The Milwaukee Brewers drew 2.6 million fans in 2025. I read where their projected 2026 payroll is $136 million. They indicate that they might not be making any money with that projected payroll. Is that possible? Its hard to believe they wouldn't be making money.
  4. Brodie Brazil has a very interesting new video on Youtube. He maintains the White Sox are a sleeping giant of a franchise.
  5. The Yankees claim they are losing money. They want to lower their payroll. Does anybody believe that the Yankees are losing money?
  6. Th e west end of Rosemont is empty and big enough for a new stadium. Its near the tollway, expressway and the CTA Blue Line. AND most importantly the Mayor of Rosemont is a White Sox fan. He was willing to build a stadium for the Cubs. I would guess he would welcome the White Sox with open arms. I have to admit that most of the White Sox fan base is not close to Rosemont but keep in mind that JR wanted to build a stadium in Addison/Dupage County which wasn't close to the fan base either.
  7. Rosemont would be the only suburb where a new stadium would do well.
  8. Sports Mockery/White Sox. The player is Kazuma Okamoto.
  9. Sports Mockery, Chicago White Sox. The player is Kazuma Okamoto.
  10. I've read where the White Sox are interested in signing some hitter from Japan. They think it will cost $64 million/4 years to sign him.
  11. I wonder if the White Sox even tried to sign Naylor.
  12. You're probably right. I find it odd that nobody in the Chicago media has interviewed the new owner.
  13. You would have to overpay to get Naylor here. I would do that. And after I did that I'm sure JR would fire me.
  14. You have to spend money to make money. If JR had giving me the GM job interview and had the good sense to hire me as the new GM, I would try to sign Naylor. If JR didn't approve of the signing I would resign the GM job. Signing Naylor would solve some of the problems the team has. Naylor is young and a good left handed hitter.
  15. If you think the White Sox are losing money, you believe in the Easter Bunny. If the team was not profitable JR would sell the team in a heartbeat.
  16. The White Sox are not a poverty franchise. The franchise is making nothing but money with the low team payroll.
  17. I don't know if we would be the favorites but it would be a much better team and we would have something to look forward to.
  18. I've been under the impression that if JR sold the team now he would be taxed to death. What if he decided to give the new ownership complete control of the franchise now and he just sat back and let the new owner run the team. JR would still own the team . Perhaps I'll write JR suggesting this idea. He use to respond to my letters until I asked him to be interviewed for the White Sox GM job.
  19. I read where the projected 2026 White Sox payroll is $59 million dollars. If you deduct the $20 million for Robert and deduct the $17 million for Benedenti you have a payroll of $22 million . That is out and out shameful. I think its easy to see that JR wants this low payroll as he's laughing all the way to the bank.
  20. The dark side seems to be losing on purpose with as low of a payroll as possible.
  21. After hearing what Getz said the other day its obvious the White Sox are not going to spend any money on free agents this off season. This team would be so much better signing Schwaber and Naylor. This ownership is content with losing AND A LOW PAYROLL. This is really a bad situation and if JR had any decency he would sell the team now or turn over running the team to the new owner.
  22. I find it easy being a White Sox fan. I renew my season tickets every year and go to the games and just hope for the best.
  23. Its a shame I never had the money to own the White Sox. I would have never fired Larry Himes, never. He was great as a White Sox GM. As far as his personality goes, so what if he wasn't liked. He was a very productive GM. Many years ago George Weiss was the Yankees GM and he built a Dynasty. He had the personality of a dead fish. But yet the Yankees kept him because he was a successful GM. The Yankees let him go after the 1960 season. Weiss parting words were the Yankees will be in trouble in 5 years. Turned out he was right. The Yankees collapsed in 1965. Weiss was hired as the Mets GM in 1962. Weiss was inducted into the MLB HOF a few years later.
