  1. Wood died recently. Seems like the White Sox orgainztion has ignored Wood. Hopefully one day there will be a White Sox HOF at the new stadium where they actually induct players into the CWS HOF.I would think that Wood will be one of the inductees.
  2. I like this idea. I like it alot.
  3. If this team keeps losing because of the lack of hitting I wonder what if anything will be done about it. Is there anybody down in the minors who can hit enough to help this team? I take it Braden Montgomery isn't in there 2026 plans. Who else is there who can help this situation?
  4. I'm hoping that this happens. I think this same situation occured with the Orioles ownership a few years ago.
  5. I can't help but wonder what if anything will be happen if this team keeps losing. I don't think JR cares if this team wins or loses. He just wants a low payroll team. But still, this is getting to the point that something will have to be done. I don't think I've ever seen a White Sox team that is so bad offensively. Montgomery and Quero have really been a disappointment.
  6. This situation appears to me that nobody is being held accountable for this situation. I'm really starting to wonder about this Whits Sox manager. Last night Everson Pereira hit a home run. Tonight he didn't play. Wouldn't you want somebody in your lineup who just hit a home run? Yet he keeps running out Acuna who has been useless. I noticed at the end of the game the manager was laughing about something. I don't think this game was anything to laugh about. This is a terrible situation this team is in.There doesn't appear to be any light at the end of the tunnel. And it seems like the people running this don't care.
  7. Already I'm reading elsewhere that its hard to get excited about Schultz. Some people think if he's successful he'll be moved off the team after his 3rd or 4th year for prospects. There's no way JR will sign him long term. If the new owner comes in he might sign him.
  8. The bottom of tonights lineup is really bad. I'm hoping Burke pitches good tonight so at least the team has a chance of winning.
  9. I'm just wondering how much longer they continue to play Acuna. If his lack of success continues Getz is going to have to send him down to the minors. This Robert Jr trade for Acuna looks worse than the Cease trade to the Padres.
  10. Acuna can't do much of anything. He can't hit. He missed a ground ball in the 6th inning which was ruled a hit. He should have been charged with an error. I wonder much longer he will be on this team. Perhaps they can trade him back to the Mets for Robert Jr.
  11. Say what you want about Getz but he is consistant, he traded Cease, Robert Jr, and now Sosa and received nothing in return.
  12. Yes, the reliever saved the 2 games at KC. They still didn't get anything in return for Robert Jr. This is a endless cycle of a losing franchise. I remember a few years ago at the trading deadline they traded David Robertson for nothing. It was a salary dump just like what they did when they traded Robert Jr. Winning franchises don't trade their best players for nothing. You add to the team, not make it worse. Acuna, the main person who got in return for Robert Jr is nothing but a utility player. If the White Sox released him I doubt if any MLB would claim him and put him on their roster. New White Sox ownership can't come soon enough for me. This endless cycle of losing with no hope is lousy.
  13. Getz knows what he's doing. He's doing what JR tells him to do. Keep the payroll as low as possible.
  14. Both Giolito and Kopech have not signed with anybody this off season. I heard that Giolito wants a 2 year contract. I've heard nothing about Kopech. Is Kopech retired? I wonder what happened to Tim Andersen. He seems to have disappeared. I wonder if hes playing in Japan.
  15. Yes it was time for Robert Jr to move on, but still they received nothing in return for him, nothing. They would have been better off keeping him. It was simply a salary dump when they traded him.
  16. Meidroth is hitting .224 and had the highest batting average of the starters tonight.
  17. He's the new version of Leury Garcia.
  18. Problem is Getz and JR are content with this situation.
  19. I lived thru past White Sox ownerships that were going broke {John Allyn and Bill Veeck) but this is a much different situation with JR. He's not broke and he's a multi billionaire. How much more money does he need? Most people couldn't spend what he's worth. This has to be one of the most shameful things in Chicago Sports history.
  20. I've said it before and i will say it again, the major objective of this management team is to have a low payroll. A low payroll is more important than winning games.
  21. Getz traded Cease and Robert Jr and received nothing in return. Those 2 trades would get most GMs fired.
  22. Wouldn't it be something if they got swept in KC and the manager gets fired?
  23. The only thing that i can figure is Sosa isn't highly thought of by the manager. It wouldn't surprise me if Sosa was moved off the team sooner rather than later.
  24. I've always wondered how i would have done as the White Sox GM if JR would have interviewed me for the job. I don't think I would have been as bad as Getz has been.
  25. I'm beginning to believe this manager should go also. He's been using Taylor as a one inning starting pitcher which is a waste of his talent. He would improve our bullpen. Today the team had runners on with one out in the 7th inning and a lefty pitching for the Orioles. He had Sosa on the bench and instead he pinched hit somebody else who grounded into a DP. i would think most managers would have had Sosa hitting in that situation. I've thought from the beginning of this season that this management doesn't care if they win. The main objective is to keep the payroll as low as possible. I still feel that way.
