  1. JRs short sightedness has cost him alot of money. The main way for him to make money now is by having low payrolls.
  2. Bad team+ low payroll for JR. Low payroll=more money in JRs pocket. Does anybody disagree with me on this subject? What else can it be?
  3. The new stadium has nothing to do with the present ownership. The new stadium won't begin to take place until the new owner takes over. Also, the South Loop 78 site has been empty forever. I wonder why the Bears didn't want to build a new stadium there years ago.
  4. I'm beginning to wonder if you're right about them wanting to lose 100 games. The bottom of the lineup is bad. I'm just hoping for the best.
  5. Billionaires want to keep making money, I get that. How much money does JR need? Most people could not spend what JR has in money. The Chicago Bulls which will be kept in JRs family is an out and out goldmine. They sellout most of their games and its not cheap going to a Bulls game. You would think JR would have enough pride to make the White Sox and the Bulls better than what they are. That is not the case. The new owner will have a hard time making the White Sox franchise a successful one.
  6. 1) If you're correct about making more money to leave to his family, that doesn't say too much about his character. JR is already a multi billionaire. How much more money does he need? His family will keep the Bulls which are a goldmine. 2) I've given up on the GM job. JR hasn't responded to me in the past. I wouldn't think he would change his mind about me at this time.
  7. I would think if the team loses 100 games in 2026, Getz will be replaced.
  8. JR always responded to me in the past on numerous items. He stopped responding to me after i requested an interview for the White Sox GM job. I don't hear from him anymore. Then again, I don't think anybody hears from him anymore. He has completely disappeared from the public.
  9. Hopefully the new stadium will be built in a popular location where people want to go. Also build a stadium that doesn't have a miserable upper deck.
  10. The lower deck at the White Sox stadium is great. The upper deck is horrible and the location of the stadium is not a popular location.
  11. White Sox fans originally welcomed the JR ownership with open arms in 1981. JR signed Luzinski and Fisk. The White Sox were having walkup crowds of over 20,000 at some games They were going to draw over 2 million fans for the first time and then the players went out on strike. The owners really got hurt money wise with that strike. A few years later most White Sox fans turned on JRs owbership.
  12. Most fans don't know that Harry Caray tried buying the White Sox with some investors. His ownership bid was turned down and it was sold to JR instead. Caray didn't like it.
  13. I can't get on this site when I use Microsoft edge or Google Chrome. I'm using firefox now to be on this site.
  14. Finally some good news in regards to a new White Sox stadium. Looks like the new Bears stadium situation should be finalized soon. Also, I read where the owners of the Tampa Bay Rays want the taxpayers to contribute over $1Billion dollars towards a new Rays stadium in Tampa. The owners said they have to know by this coming April 1, 2026. Wonder what happens if the money is not approved . Will they move the franchise?
  15. 85 wins. Remember, The White Sox are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  16. The Chicago Fire broke ground on their new stadium at the 78 in the South Loop yesterday. It has been too quiet about a new White Sox stadium at that site. If the White Sox have any intentions of building there I wish they would announce something.
  17. Another great victory!!!! Looks to me like this is really going to be a fun 2026 White Sox season. The White Sox are coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  18. People have short memories. The person who said that George Halas would turn over in his grave if the Bears move to Indiana is full of crap. Halas was one of the cheapest owners in the NFL and sports. He would have taken the best deal offered to him.
  19. The stadium is 2 different ballparks. The lower deck is great. The upper deck is horrendous. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years. I wouldn't sit in the upper deck for nothing.
  20. Is there any public transportation/Metra near the Tinley Park site?
  21. The only suburb that I can think of who would build a new stadium for the White Sox would be Rosemont. I don't know if White Sox fans would drive to that northwest suburb.
  22. I've said it before and i will say it again, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  23. I heard that if the stadium is built in Arlington Heights the value of the Bears franchise will double.
  24. I talked to a couple of the workers who were knocking Comiskey Park down. They claimed it was in such bad shape that it could have possibly collapsed in a few more years.
