  1. Where do you think is a better place for a stadium than the 78?
  2. The more I look at this roster the more I'm convinced that 2026 is going to be a great season for the White Sox!!!!
  3. I read where the owners of the Arlington Heights racetrack paid $3 million a year in property taxes. I read where the Bears are now paying $16 million a year in property taxes at that site now. Its now being said that if the Bears build their stadium in Arlington Heights the property taxes will be anywhere between $100 and $200 million dollars yearly. How is that possible?
  4. You keep forgetting The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  5. Somebody told me the Bears would pay $50 million dollars a year on the lease in Indiana for 35 years. That would still be alot cheaper than building a stadium in Arlington Heights. They would pay no property taxes in Indiana and anywhere from $100 to $200 million dollars a year in property taxes in Arlington Heights. Unless something changes it looks to me like Indiana will get the Bears. They're not going to pay those high property taxes in Illinois.
  6. I think it has to be rated higher than a C Like I've said before, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  7. I try not to be negative on this site. Some people on this site thrive on negativity, but still I went to Soxfest last night and I can't help it because I thought it was terrible. Other than the seminar with Getz and the manager it was a night of comedy skits. Brooke Fletcher is very likeable but hosting that first comedy skit was awful. I can't comprehend why they went to this new format. The last Soxfest before Covid was at Mccormick Place and the event had thousands of fans. I can't believe they were losing money there or at the hotels when Soxfest was there. The place was jam packed last night and having people stand for hours was lousy and I think dangerous. Perhaps ownership just doesn't want to be bothered with having Soxfest at a bigger venue.
  8. I was hoping for some bobbleheads from White Sox players of the past like Luke Appling, Ted Lyons AND Joe Jackson.

Good signing. I can't help it but I have to say again. The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  10. If everything works out I'm expecting 85 wins for the White Sox in 2026!!!!
  11. I thought Getz would make another trade or free agent signing before Soxfest. It doesn't look like that is going to happen. I also thought the promotional schedule would be released by now.
  12. Most people in Indiana will be very happy if the Bears stadium is built in Indiana. Putting a Super Bowl and NCAA Final 4 tournament in Indiana will bring in over 1.3 billion dollars into the local economy.
  13. Former Illinois Governor Jim Thompson will turn over in his grave if the Bears move to Indiana.
  14. I can't imagine the Bears paying $200 million dollars in property taxes in Illinois where they would pay no property taxes in Indiana. The Bears would lease the Indiana stadium for 35 years. I was told by somebody that the lease is $51 million dollars yearly for 35 years. Unless Illinois does something about lowering the property taxes the Bears will go to Indiana.
  15. I try to be positive every year.
  16. I've said it before and i will say it again: The White Sox are coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  17. I agree with you. The offense should be good. That being said, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  18. All Getz has to do now is add a good outfielder and a good starting pitcher and this team should be good. White Sox fans will be dancing in the street once this team starts winning games in 2026!!!!
  19. With all the moves the Mets have done recently, I wonder why they didn't resign Alonso
  20. Its very possible. JR obviously wants the payroll as low as possible. Low payroll = big profits for the ownership.
  21. Getz traded Dylan Cease and received nothing in return. He then traded Robert Jr and received nothing in return. This upcoming 2026 White Sox outfield is really going to be bad. The best scenario that I can see is Benindenti in left and Sosa as the DH. Robert Jr was scheduled to be at Soxfest next week. Looks like he won't be there.
  22. I always found it odd that JRs ownership basically had nothing to do with Wilbur Wood. To the best of my knowledge he was never even invited back to Soxfest or any doings at the ballpark. If the White Sox ever have a Team Hall of Fame (like other teams have) Wood will be a White Sox Hall of Famer.
  23. My Season Ticket rep told me the promo schedule will be released the last week of January, right before Soxfest.
  24. The Indiana stadium offer to the Bears lets the Bears keep all of the revenue from the stadium. The only thing not explained is the lease. I wonder how much the Bears will pay every year for the lease.
  25. I 've been told the Bears will build their stadium in Indiana and be the owner of the stadium and lease the land. Is that possible? Would this be because this is the way to avoid paying property taxes on the stadium? If they did lease the land, I wonder how much it would cost them to lease the land?
