I've noticed that the White Sox are putting out ads with the theme "They Believe In Themselves". I can't help but wonder if this is how they are going to promote the 2026 season ad campaign. I thought hey had a very successful 2025 promotion/giveaway season. It will be interesting to see what their promotion/giveaway schedule will be for 2026.

I can understand your feelings. I'm hoping for better results in 2026. With Smith, Schulutz and Bradon Montgomery added to the team and hopefully some more off season additions, the team should be alot better.

Is “The 78” Dead? Or even more alive? Fire announce plans for SSS

The City Council approved the Chicago Fire Stadium. As of now, nothing has been done about the infrastructure around the stadium. I find it difficult to believe that over $900 million dollars of TIF money is going to be built for the infrastructure for 20 Soccor games a year. -
The team is in better shape than what they were one year ago. Still, I think the one area that has not looked promising is the starting pitching. Burke and Cannon have not been good. I'm wondering if they are even going to be on the team next year. If not, who will replace them?

Sox vs. Padres 9.21.25 Last home game of the year.

I think one of the reasons for the attendance is because its affordable going to a White Sox game unlike the other 4 major teams in Chicago. I've noticed on Tuesday nights where they have food items for $5 that it's a tremendous success. I think there are more fans eating the food on the concourses than there are fans sitting in the stands. I've noticed that the team merchandise store usually has different discounts on the merchandise inside the stores on most homestands. The parking and food choices are wonderful. Its simply a nice way to spend a day at the ballpark without going broke. And it should be mentioned also that the stadium giveaways this year were great. I just got home from the game and this Comiskey Park radio is super. -

The White Sox didn't give up Benetti. He broke his contract and left on his own. -

I've read a number of times that 20% of White Sox fans come by public transportation. -

Do you think the Cubs would draw 3 million fans a year if Wrigley Field was located at 35th and Shields? The Northside neighborhood is much different than 35th and Shields.. -

Most of the 17,000 fans that show up (like me) are from the suburbs. If there were no parking lots most of those fans wouldn't go to the games. Anyways, I hope they move to the 78 and I hope you're right that there will be parking there. -

What major changes can you do at the present stadium? Take away the parking that most fans like? You would have to spend millions of dollars to fix that miserable upper deck. -

No,I can't imagine the team playing at the present location. It certainly has alot of history in that area. The problem is its not a popular location. If the team doesn't win the team doesn't draw well. Let me point out I don't care where they play. I've been a season ticket holder for close to 35 years. Its been said that 20% of the Cubs attendance comes from out of state. The out of state fans don't take in too many White Sox games. That would change if they moved to the 78. -

Someone else is going to pay for it, the new owner. At least I hope so. I can't imagine the new owner wants to stay at the present location. -

If Ald, Dowell is opposed to a privately owned White Sox stadium at the 78 she should get a kick in her behind. I would think the City of Chicago would welcome a privately owned baseball stadium with open arms. -

Just curious, where do you think a new stadium in the Hillside/Oakbrook would be? I don't think there is any vacant land there to build a stadium. -

I've often wondered what Southwest suburb would be good for a White Sox stadium. I live in that area and there are alot of White Sox fans out here. If they built a stadium in Arlington Heights you would be moving the team away from their fan base. At one time Rosemont seemed to be interested in building a stadium for the White Sox. That also would be away from their fan base. -

How could you improve the park? The only thing wrong with the park is the upper deck. You can't fix the dreaded upper deck. It would make more sense to build a new stadium. -

i hope you're right about an announcement for the new stadium in the next few months. I will feel alot better about this situation if there was announcement coming soon. I don't see any other options for a new stadium except the South Loop. Where else would a stadium be built? -

I'm just worried about the team moving out of state. After paying $2 billion for the team and paying another $1billion for a new stadium is rather expensive. If some other city offers the new owner a sweetheart deal he might be tempted to take the deal. I just wish that something is announced one way or another about a new stadium or staying where they're at now. -

Arlington Heights wants the new Bears stadium. The businesses there want the new stadium there in the worse way. Its going to happen. -

The Bears are going to get their new stadium in Arlington Heights. They might as well pass the bills as soon as possible. Then we can focus on getting a new White Sox stadium in the South Loop. -

Alot of White Sox fans drive in from the suburbs. They're not going to take the CTA to get to the rate.
