Are we the favorites
If you think the White Sox are losing money, you believe in the Easter Bunny. If the team was not profitable JR would sell the team in a heartbeat.

Are we the favorites
The White Sox are not a poverty franchise. The franchise is making nothing but money with the low team payroll.

Are we the favorites
I don't know if we would be the favorites but it would be a much better team and we would have something to look forward to.

Kyle Schwarber back to Phillies 5 years/150 mil
I've been under the impression that if JR sold the team now he would be taxed to death. What if he decided to give the new ownership complete control of the franchise now and he just sat back and let the new owner run the team. JR would still own the team . Perhaps I'll write JR suggesting this idea. He use to respond to my letters until I asked him to be interviewed for the White Sox GM job.

Kyle Schwarber back to Phillies 5 years/150 mil
I read where the projected 2026 White Sox payroll is $59 million dollars. If you deduct the $20 million for Robert and deduct the $17 million for Benedenti you have a payroll of $22 million . That is out and out shameful. I think its easy to see that JR wants this low payroll as he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Kyle Schwarber back to Phillies 5 years/150 mil
The dark side seems to be losing on purpose with as low of a payroll as possible.

Kyle Schwarber back to Phillies 5 years/150 mil
After hearing what Getz said the other day its obvious the White Sox are not going to spend any money on free agents this off season. This team would be so much better signing Schwaber and Naylor. This ownership is content with losing AND A LOW PAYROLL. This is really a bad situation and if JR had any decency he would sell the team now or turn over running the team to the new owner.

The Future of the White Sox TV Broadcast Team
I find it easy being a White Sox fan. I renew my season tickets every year and go to the games and just hope for the best.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I hope you're right.

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
Its a shame I never had the money to own the White Sox. I would have never fired Larry Himes, never. He was great as a White Sox GM. As far as his personality goes, so what if he wasn't liked. He was a very productive GM. Many years ago George Weiss was the Yankees GM and he built a Dynasty. He had the personality of a dead fish. But yet the Yankees kept him because he was a successful GM. The Yankees let him go after the 1960 season. Weiss parting words were the Yankees will be in trouble in 5 years. Turned out he was right. The Yankees collapsed in 1965. Weiss was hired as the Mets GM in 1962. Weiss was inducted into the MLB HOF a few years later.

JR also had a stadium built in a unpopular location and then built a stadium where nobody wants to sit in the upper deck.

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
I wouldn't think the Pirates are moving anywhere. They pay only $500,000 a year for their stadium lease.

DJ on Sox future...
If thats true that is really terrible.Even hard core fans like myself are tired of losing.

DJ on Sox future...
DJ must think that White Sox ownership is not going to improve the team this off season.

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
I read where the Members of the Pittsburgh City Council want to meet with the Pirates owner. They want to discuss if he has any intentions of improving the Pirates. I don't think he has responded to their request. I wonder if some council members from Chicago will request a similar meeting with JR to see his intentions of improving the White Sox and Bulls.

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
There were years where Oakland drew over 2 million fans a year. The present owner (Fisher, a multi billionaire) could of done the decent thing by selling the team to local owners. Both Bill Gates and Reggie Jackson wanted to buy the team and keep it in the Oakland area. Gates would have built a new stadium with his own money. There is speculation that Fisher will sell the team after the first few years its in Vegas. He should have sold the team to people who wanted to keep it in the Oakland area.

Salary Cap exploration...
I wonder what the fans reaction would be if the entire 2027 season was wiped out and nothing was settled with the prospect of no baseball in 2028.

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
Fisher also moved the team out of Oakland. There were investors ( Bill gates and Reggie Jackson) who wanted to buy the team and keep it in Oakland. Fisher moved the team and stabbed the Oakland fans in the back.

Salary Cap exploration...
If the MLB owners lockout the players for the entire 2027 season, I wonder what the Players Union would do?

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
JR doesn't care if he's hated by Bulls/White Sox fans. The only thing he cares about is making money. And he has been very good at making money.

Salary Cap exploration...
I read where 4 of the Cubs players ( Happ, Suzuki, Hoerner and Tallion) have contracts that run thru 2026. The Cubs have no intentions of extending them. It looks to me like Cubs ownership is expecting a lockout for the 2027 season.

In the last 12 seasons the Chicago Bears have had one winning season. What does that say about the Bears ownership?

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I've noticed that this subject has over 141,000 views. I wonder if thats a record on this site. Obviously White Sox fans are interested in the thought of a new stadium.

If Ishbia gave us one early present, who would excite you to add to this not ready team
I would make the White Sox great again!!!!

Interesting revenue figures...
That 277 million dollars is not telling the whole story. They're not counting the national TV money and merchandise money. The total revenue is closer to $400 million dollars.
