Excited to see Tigers bad GM blow the Skubal trade.

Winning is fun. Thanks for taking Montero out at 65 pitches!

Either gotta move him for an offer that beats abojt a back-end first round pick plus draft money or offer the QO and take the pick.

That would have driven me to throw something if I was a Tigers fan. Just managing off a spreadsheet and not watching. We had no chance until he was out.

Yeah, when people treat the QO pick as "letting him go for nothing", teams don't trade the top prospects they know are going to be perennial All-Stars. They trade the projects and keep the sure things for themselves. I have no idea how good the Tigers are at scouting and getting "buy low" guys they know they can develop.

I don't know what that was about. Montero's stretched out. I'm not sure why they only let him go 6 innings. We had no shot against him all game.

Looks to me like this White Sox team is a team of destiny. The team will even be stronger when Mune and Teel come back.

32-27, who'da guessed?

Sox finish the homestand 6-1. CLE loses again, Sox are 1 GB.

20-11 at home, 11-3 in the division!

Side note: Tigers are a dismal 4-21 since Skubal went down. They have scored 5+ runs just twice in that 25 game stretch.

Sox lead the AL in comeback wins with 16.

After a .500 April, Sox finish May with an 18-10 record. Their most wins in a month since May 2021 (19-10).

Pending the handful of remaining games, the offense finishes May ~top 5 in OPS/AVG, 1st in HR, top 3 in runs/SLG.

June will be tough, especially without Mune. Gotta keep fighting and stay afloat.

What a Homestand!!!!

Just keep beating up on the Central boys.

Tristan Peters 4 multi-hit games in a row. go-ahead RBI

Colson HR

Jacob Gonzalez 1st MLB hit

Burke 5.1 IP 3H, 1R, 2BB, 6K

Chris Murphy shakey with 3 walks in 1.1 inning 0 R

Eisert .1 IP, 1 K (W)

Hudson 1.1 IP, 1 H , 0R, 1K

Tyler Davis .2 IP 0's across the board , (S) 1st one

Sox Win ! 2-1 both runs coming in the 7th inning.

Insane turnaround.

Keep it up.

Then he brings in Anderson to boot

Gonzo had some phenomenal ABs today and a big hit that ended up pushing the winning run across. If he can hit .250+ with a little power, we should be able to at least play .500 baseball over the next 2-3 weeks—assuming everyone else keeps trending. That would be huge if we could come out of the NYY series still 2-3 games above .500.

Swap Hays for Nishida ASAP. No reason to have a 2nd backup CF / 5OF type we just need a bat and Hays is proven league average or so when healthy.

Winning is fun, fun is winning.

9th time this season the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and won.

They have to survive the gauntlet of the Phillies, Braves, Dodgers and Yankees first.

Then we'll have a better idea of where they are at and what the future may hold.

I’d actually swap Hays for Acuña at this point and keep Rikuu up for the time being. Culture matters and I think Rikuu, right now, fits that better than LA, all other stats being realistically equal.
