I’d actually swap Hays for Acuña at this point and keep Rikuu up for the time being. Culture matters and I think Rikuu, right now, fits that better than LA, all other stats being realistically equal.

Completely agree. Rikuu gives you what Acuna does. Can play IF and OF and steals bases. Plus speaks English and Japanese. If a team claims Acuna, no big loss at all.

They have to survive the gauntlet of the Phillies, Braves, Dodgers and Yankees first.

Then we'll have a better idea of where they are at and what the future may hold.

Baseball is often about when you get a team. The Sox are in a stretch of good baseball so I think they can hold serve against those teams right now. But we shall see.

Use it on Teel & Muni's knee/hamstring and Jerry's wallet.

What's their record in 1 run games?

12-6.

They were 15-36 last year.

Swap Hays for Nishida ASAP. No reason to have a 2nd backup CF / 5OF type we just need a bat and Hays is proven league average or so when healthy.

If Hays can come back healthy, he’s a massive upgrade in RF vs. RHP.

Burke legit good! Remember when @Look at Ray Ray Run said he “stinks”. It’s always good to have one hater to motivate the squad!

This rules so much. I left in the sixth (watching tv) just thinkin “well you gotta tip your cap to a pitcher dealing”, only to see us win an hr later.

Unreal that our pitching, with this staff, is this productive.

Pinch me, I must be dreaming!

Great coaching and clubhouse leadership can make up for a lot of liabilities by getting everyone pulling on the same rope. TWTW, if you will. I don’t think these guys are just talking s%*# when they talk about their teammates. This unit is clicking in a very rare way.

Culture? Come on.
And for whatever that means, LA and his culture have been on this team all season.
And a major aspect of this team is that it plays excellent defense.

I'll take staying defensively sound over another average bat.

Yeah, it still feels like the bubble is going to burst but we’ll take it while we can.

Definitely coming back around on Burke. Even have a few shares now. Stink meter is nearing a low!
