I just realized something watch the Red Sox win
CubKilla replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sorry..... but an aberration/world champion doesn't beat the best in the NL and AL based solely on luck. -
Chicago is now the undisputed home of baseball's most ridiculously underachieving AL and NL teams. There's no curse in the world that will tell you that the White Sox have and always will suck under the ownership of JR. Time to face facts White Sox fans..... as long as the White Sox and JR are hand-in-hand, the White will NEVER win jack s***. Sleep tight. Goodnight. CubKilla

Welcome to my hell. Time to face facts s-r-u..... the White Sox ain't winning s*** as long as Jerry Reinsdorf owns this ballclub.

Obesity is not a disease but it can become a disease only if you let it get the best of you. If you see yourself gaining weight, get your fat ass out of the house and exercise. No one stays thin without working at it. As for the half-ton man..... f*** him. He didn't get that way unless he made himself that way. Piece of s*** did nothing but eat and drink and plant himself wherever he was prior to the surgery. He deserves all the ridicule he gets. Lazy f***.

Normally, I would agree. But the Marlins won in '03 on less than $65 million. If JR isn't going to spend the $$$ on players, then he better well spend it on the best GM and scouts $$$ can buy. I'm sick of this BS with this ballclub. s*** OR GET OFF THE POT REINSDORF -
That's what really bothers me. The fact that Oprah can talk about "tossing salads" at 9AM and Stern can't is clearly a double standard. "America loves Oprah..... and she is an icon" is the reasoning the FCC used when they refused to levy a fine on Oprah..... who I happen to think is the anti-Christ..... for the broadcast that was exceptionally more graphic than anything you'd usually hear on the Stern Show. The FCC received thousands of complaints about the aforementioned Oprah telecast. If the FCC is gonna levy fines, fine. But be fair about it. What's good for Howard is good for Oprah and vice versa. While I may not agree with Stern's recent political ramblings, I am behind him in his ridicule of the FCC 100%. Keep up the fight Howard

In my defense, I though it was a HORRIBLE trade at the time

Apparently, most sports fans dont think much of us
CubKilla replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well said. The Jerry Reinsdorf White Sox are a joke who've been in the playoffs 3 times during his ownership tenure and have won a total of 3 games during that span of 20+ years..... never winning one playoff series. '93 should have been the first of possibly many consecutive playoff appearances..... but the owners, led by our JR, put a stop to that in '94. Then JR waved his "White Flag" in '97. The fact that any baseball team would give up on a season in July being a series behind the first place team should be reason enough for "most sports fans....." to "..... not think much of us." Then there's the treatment given to one Carlton Fisk. But hey..... at least JR usually gives us a >.500 team year in and year out. I really, truly hope fortunes change for the White Sox during the '04-'05 offseason and I would love nothing better than for the White Sox to enter ST with a team that excites me to the point where me and a few friends go out and buy season tickets. I'm definitely not going to hold my breath though. I'd sooner be dead. -
I believe the White Sox inquired about Leyland and whether he'd be interested in making a management return prior to the hiring of Guillen. He said he wasn't interested. Wonder why?

Standing outside USCF

Next time I see you at USCF YAS, I'm buying you a beer

Kudos to all on SoxTalk that didn't badmouth Kong like on another White Sox board because his name isn't Pauly Thomas. Tools over there.
-
One of the few MLB players that still wishes he was a player on the White Sox and he's an assclown. Whatever!!!!!
-
3 in a row for Fouke. And you were saying..... ?
-
Yes. You're right. That's what I meant
-
I don't think the St. Louis goalie broke a sweat that night
-
I wipe my ass with any "rag" advocating the assassination of The President..... Republican, Democrat, or otherwise. Of course, I need to consider the source of the above stated quote..... :rolly

Agreed

There's nothing to write about though

"Dollar" Bill makes Reinsdorf look like Steinbrenner. I remember a time when you couldn't get anything but a 2nd Balcony seat in a corner for a Blackhawk game at the Old Chicago Stadium. You had to get that ticket a few weeks in advance too. I remember the roar after Sutter scored a goal in the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals against the Detroit Red Wings helping propel the BlackHawks to a 1-0 sweep of rival Detroit with 1:00 left in the third. Now, I can walk up to the UC regardless of what team is in town the day of the game and pay $35 for a "cheap seat." I can watch the St. Louis Blues win a game 3-0 while the SlackHawks set a new NHL WORST record for SOG during a game..... 12!!!!! I can pay $7+ a beer. And this is what "Dollar" Bill Wirtz thinks is good for SlackHawk fans?

Ummmmm..... there was no baseball on Monday so the paper looked for a local angle to write about for their baseball section. It maybe a non-story for you. Personally, I liked it..... knowing Foulke still harbors feelings for "the Sox" yet didn't bad mouth the Organization like KW badmouthed Foulke. And before you ask why anything wasn't written about ex-Cub players in the WS..... either the Trib or Times did a similar story on Bill Mueller last week.
-
Exactly. This quote from KW is, in my opinion, a microcosm of the mindset of the man GM'img the White Sox. A petty, buffet table flipping man who'll let his feelings get in the way of what's best for the team. "F" him and that piece of s*** he traded Foulke for.
-
Strictly rumor from everything I've heard
-
Where did I say KW was dumb for acquiring Garcia?
-
The Mariners weren't just going to give him away :rolly . And that still doesn't negate my assertion.
