  1. You sure about that? I heard that the Sox are only able to sell tickets to the season ticket holders and that MLB sets the date and price for the All-Star Game tix for all the seats that are not occupied by White Sox season ticket holders. I was contemplating going to last years All-Star game in Milwaukee and remember that online tix didn't go on sale until mid-May.
  2. I had no use for France even before the whole Iraq situation. Hopefully, after all of this is over (one way or the other), the United States will wake up to the fact that France is not nor ever really was an ally of ours. :puke France
  3. Close..... but not quite. It's 198 proof to be exact. It was used to process crack and, for that reason, is extremely hard to come by now-a-days. However, Guido found an old shooter bottle of it last year. We brought it to Comiskey, bought two Cokes, and mixed. Ever taste Coca-Cola on fire? That's how I would describe it. I don't think anyone would be able to drink that s*** straight up and not end up in an emergency room. Everclear, straight up, should have a skull and crossbones on it.
  4. Since no one is going to buy that garbage and considering you could corner the market on Choice junk, you should low ball them and make them take what they could get from you. If you don't, they'll just have to, eventually, give it away
  5. ya think that will happen when kimm falls on his face too???? hes another jm buddy.......... JMHO..... but I think Kimm is an upgrade from "Waving" Wallace Johnson.
  6. I think Seaver's 300th was during the Drysdale era.
  7. Everyone can say what they will about Mark Johnson, but, he was the only player on our team that could bunt effectively. Granted, some of MJ's bunts were full swings, but they were good bunts nonetheless .
  8. Someone should start the "ShamME Soso Predicts WS Glory" watch. Remember Baggs, it's not just the fans that "say that every year."
  9. out of all the guys KW let walk..durham is the one i cant figure out The KW backers will say that we would have lost him anyway and that, if all we could get for Ray was Adkins, that there mustn't have been a market for him in the first place. I would have held onto Ray and taken my chances with him in the offseason if all we could have gotten for him during the 2002 season was Adkins. KW's backers would say that if we did that, we probably wouldn't have gotten anything for Ray. I'm saying it's the same thing with Adkins. I don't think we'll ever see him at USCF in a White Sox uni.
  10. That changes once you enter the work force. All I did for 4 years in college was read literature, write papers the night before they were due, and party. I'm lucky to have an hour every day I work to come and post on here. Work, home ownership, grocery shopping, paying bills, maintaining my vehicle, OT, and the list goes on take up a huge chunk of my time.
  11. I want that same deal when I come this summer. Not the thanks, the drinks! you got it! Yo Vince..... I thought you didn't like to mix politics with baseball

    I like Mike

She'd be able to do alot more than that and still be a virgin. With Bill, I don't think anal would qualify as sex..... depending on what your definition of sex is, or isn't..... or even what your "definiton of is..... is."
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this guy the mayor of Cleveland when the city went into DEFAULT?
  14. While I think Hawk and DJ..... hell, Hawk and anybody are better than the Chipster and Joe Carter, I have been practically ambivalent towards Hawk since the White Flag trade. When Hawk went on TV to announce that night's game and defended the trade, saying it was good for the White Sox in the long run despite the White Sox only being 3 games behind Cleveland, Hawk revealed himself to be one of two things..... 1.) a "homer" or 2.) JR's mouthpiece on TV and most of us don't even realize it. How any ex-baseball player could defend surrender is still a puzzle to me. However, Hawk has become an institution on Chicago's Southside. Wimpy was Hawk's best sidekick. DJ has improved but still has a long way to go. Thank God I can still remember Harry and Jimmy. Speaking of Harry, it was 5 years ago this past Tuesday that Harry Carey passed away. I doubt many of you were able to see it, but on Chicago's public television station, Channel 11, their local news show, "Chicago Tonight ", ran a tribute piece on Harry commemorating his years in Chicago announcing Sox and Cubs baseball. The best part of the tribute was that not one, NOT ONE, moment was shown from Wrigley Field. The tribute was 100% Harry and the fans and players of Chicago's Southside! A 5 minute timecapsule that I wish alot of the younger Sox fans that can't remember Harry Carey and how he sounded with the Sox could have heard and viewed. As the show ran it's end credits, Harry singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame " and "root, root, root(ing) for the WHITE SOX still brings a smile to my face.
  15. I doubt it..... especially if the White Sox are contending this year. Couple that with the fact that KW has expressed his desire to make CLee the DH once he can get rid of Frank (make no mistake..... KW wants Frank OUT of Chicago's SS) and I just don't see the Sox getting rid of CLee anytime soon..... or as long as KW is the GM.
  16. Hey..... being frozen only to be revived worked for Austin Powers.
  17. What about thee of the 6.something-something ERA Jon Adkins? Also, are there any KW acquisitions that weren't invited? And where is the list of Sox players at ST posted?
  18. There are so many if you look at it long term..... not just for one season. Among them, Ruffcorn, Sturtze, Caruso, and Christiansen.
  19. Nardi is the only example I can think of where I wish JM would have listened to Lou Pinella. Pinella didn't call Nardi the "worst pitching coach in baseball" for no reason. :fyou NARDI
  20. If this was true, everyone in the US would be driving an SUV. I'm sure charitable organizations, small business owners, and the like could write them off as a cost of doing business. After all, strippers can write off their breast implants as a business expense. But Joe Familyman being able to write off his SUV for no other reason except that it is an SUV? No.

    Wirtz

Yeah. f*** "Dollar" Bill. If he didn't run the Blackhawks like a 60's hockey team in the 2000 decade then maybe fans would be attending every game like they did when I first starting following the Hawks in the 80's. I, and alot of other Hawk fans, are sick and tired of paying the highest ticket price for the "Big 4" of Chicago sports to watch guys like Belfour, Roenick, Amonte, Hasek, etc. get traded or let go to be replaced by "Dollar" Bill with a goddamn crackhead..... LITERALLY. :fyou Bill Wirtz!!!!!
  22. Doubtful..... if he's playing for the Schaumburg Flyers.
  23. Yeah. Me, Guido, and RPS get jacked as hell while tailgating at USCF..... and all we do, really, is drink beer. Then, when we're in the park, we do shooter bottles..... and we're the loudest, most obnoxious fans in the place. We get all our energy from alcohol. Not to mention, I get some of my best sleep after imbibing on a few alcoholic beverages..... so it's a win-win. I think some would say that the three of us are borderline alcoholics come summertime.
  24. Any game against the sCrUBS is serious s***!
