I think the Como closed a few years ago..... but I'm not sure. It did, but I think the old owner's son or something reopened it as "The Como Inn." Whatever its called, I was just there over Winter Break and its still a pretty good Italian place. Good to know. I was disappointed when I heard that they were closing. Como Inn always had good Italian food.

Yes.... I'd be devastated..... and they will be no worse than 2-1 come the home Opener.

But the errors..... Seriously, I like the White Sox much better with Valentin at SS with the potential errors than I do K-layton the defensive specialist..... cause his bat was non-existent the first halves of 2001-02. Jose's bat usually makes more noise than his errors do.

Defensively, he's the most important OF'er for us. We know what Maggs can/will do. We know what Caballo can/will do..... bad or good. Since Caballo is a question mark defensively, Rowand's importance to this team is huge. Not to mention Valentin/Jimenez isn't one of the strongest SS/2B pairings up the middle (Jimenez could prove me wrong but only time and play will tell). And if Rowand could be just a little more lethal with the bat near the bottom of the order..... the sky may be the limit for the 2003 White Sox. I think offensively in the bottom of the order and defensively, at least in the OF, Rowand is the key. Garland is the key pitching wise.

Someone should shove a silver bullet up his ass and shoot him back up to the Rocky Mountains.

I have criticized Frank before and will do it again I'm sure. I know I don't speak for everybody, but I don't think there's anybody here that wouldn't want Frank Thomas on the White Sox. It's just that when he opens his mouth and everything that comes out of it is, "me, me, me, me, me," like this past weekend, some Sox fans get upset..... and rightfully so. Here we have a clubhouse that, in the press, seems focused and ready to reclaim the AL Central and Frank Thomas calls a press conference to b****, moan, and whine. I'm sure that really helps the team. If Frank Thomas sees himself as the leader of this team, he needs to start acting like it..... on and off the field and, when necessary, with the media. No wonder why the guys talk smack about him if this press conference of his is any indication of how he is in the clubhouse. If he's so unhappy with the White Sox and feels that he is not being respected by his teammates and/or his management and/or his owner, he had the opportunity, from what I hear, to go to LA. But, for whatever reason, he is still with the Sox and he needs to put all of the offseason bulls*** behind him and focus on the 2003 season at hand. Nobody here is going to dispute Frank's lifetime numbers.

You could jerk off 6 times a day too if you were done in 60 seconds like RPS..... and that's how long the 6th time takes!

f*** the stadium club. I wont go up there as long as that asshole hard ass bartender is up there that kicked Guido out. That was sooooo money im still shocked he got the boot before rps did.........those two never cease to amaze me..... and of course killa we all know youll never be kicked out cause you do no wrong in my eyes........... I should be "sainted" for hanging around those two . But they have been by my side on some of my worst nights. How I didn't get ejected the Friday night of the Sox/Cubs game in 2001 is still a surprise to me. That was my worst night at Comiskey I think.

Good point. Very good point. I admit that I am a Frank Thomas fan..... but I will rip him when he needs to be ripped, and that is taboo within some White Sox fan circles. However, I think it is becoming painfully obvious that Frank Thomas is a wonderful teammate when he's hitting and the team is winning. He is, unfortunately, a complete and total opposite of what he could and should be when the White Sox are losing and he isn't hitting.

That's what I thought before 2001 and 2002's season started respectively. And we all know how those seasons panned out :puke But I am really starting to get sick and tired of all the s*** I've been reading regarding the Twins. I'm getting a serious jonsing for the weekend of April 25-27. For diehard Sox fans like ourselves, these 19 games are going to be intense this year.

the problem with marriotti is he never tells both sides of the story..he fails to acknowledge that thomas could have left the south side after a huge 95 season for greener pastures in new york ala jason giambi..but he chose to stay here for much less money and help the sox rebuild...then he has to watch the sox give up the ghost only 3 games out of first place in 97 in the infamous white flag trade... there are two sides to frank thomas...one..he is baby huey like jose valentin said..but he also has shown loyalty to the sox in a business where loyalty left the building with catfish hunter in 1975... marriotti is pretty much on target with his facts about frank..but he never tells the whole story I agree with everything you posted here Baggs. As for Moronotti not being objective on all things Sox related..... I've grown used to it. I've also grown used to the fact that whenever Moronotti mentions ShamME that it will be an ass kissing piece. And let's not forget the diehard, lovable Cub fans that inhabit Wrigley and the classless, pissed because their team is second rate in a big city White Sox fans. Having said that and finally heard everything Frank Thomas said..... :fyou Frank Thomas! Keep your f***ing mouth shut! Sox fans know what you've done and, believe it or not, your TEAMMATES know what you have done. STFU Frank Thomas! So you're not the highest paid player on the team anymore. STFU Frank Thomas! You are the one that signed a long term contract with the White Sox and, while us Sox fans appreciate your loyalty to the team, you signed a contract with a "Diminished Skills Clause" that, unfortunately, stated that this clause could be enacted after the 2002 season if your 'skills diminished.' Injury not-withstanding..... your skills DID DIMINISH in 2002. Blame yourself and/or your agent. Don't blame Sox management or your teammates. STFU Frank Thomas! Hopefully, his teammates will finally realize that Frank Thomas will never be happy this season and Frank will realize that the media IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE AGAINST HIM! So shut up Frank, grab a bat, and swing your way to respect..... the type of respect that nobody, AND I MEAN NOBODY, will have the guts to try and take away from you.

The schedules only say March 8th. No time is given.

No. A friend of mine that I work with said the same exact thing (including the part about the mouthpiece in an earlier post) this morning. You're not the only one that thinks Etienne took his one punch and one meeeellllliiiiiooooon dollars

I've been reading what you've been posting lately Brando. You're the only one that seems to be "ignoring the point."

I was way ahead of this type of thinking back in the extremely early 90's. I was getting bj's from chicks at 14 so I didn't have to worry about them getting pregnant
