    Hey guys I'm back!

Frank hit 2 doubles on Monday. Colon, Buehrle, and Garland both look very good for their first outings of the season. Wright got lit up in his first start. Maggs jacked a HR off of Schilling in the first ST game. Flash Gordon is looking very good since he dropped the anchor of a sCrUBBIE uniform. And, as of Tuesday morning, the White Sox have won two in a row. The Bears..... cut Miller and Big Cat. Kordell Stewart and Jake Plummer are going to Halas Hall to talk this week. In other words, the Bears suck.
  2. George Ryan's name, the same George Ryan who used his political position to bilk the taxpayers of Illinois and corporate lobbyists out of millions of dollars while S.o.S of Illinois, was submitted for a Nobel Peace Prize too..... that doesn't make it right. George Ryan is a criminal. Now I'm not saying that Chirac is a criminal. Fact of the matter is, I don't know much about him. But, I do know that he and Saddam Hussein are very good friends..... have been since about 1975. Additionally, Chirac's stance, and the current political stance of France, is nothing new. Like David Letterman said..... "The last time France wanted more proof it came rolling through Paris with a Nazi Swastika painted on it." While I believe France's current stance is the stance of the country, I also believe that Chirac is letting his friendship with Hussein and his countries interests get in the way of what should be done.
  3. Too bad JR doesn't see things this way. His "No Longterm Contracts for Starting Pitchers" bulls*** is gonna (probably already has) drive MB to the likes of the St. Louis Cardinals. I'd hate to see MB go, but with the way the White Sox have been treating him and the Organization's refusal to acknowledge his dominance over the past two seasons, I'd be happy just to see MB go somewhere where he will be appreciated. Even though he and the Sox have yet to work something out, MB is a consummate professional who never lets the money get in the way of his pitching..... as evidenced by 2002's 19-win campaign.
  4. Potential doesn't mount up to a hill of beans. When/If Jesus Prior wins 35 or more games over a spanof two seasons, then we could have this debate. Till then..... I'll take the soft tosser All-Star over the hard throwing unproven commodity.

    Damn Cop Dogs

Amsterdam. You are correct . although everything is legal there and that makes it bad to see people shooting up in the streets Only half correct. Drugs that are illegal here and prostitution are legal in Amsterdam but only when done in government approved areas. So, when you go and buy pot in Amsterdam, you are only allowed to legally smoke the pot in an establishment specifically designated for drug use. Same goes for prostitution. Both are very heavily government regulated. So..... "Shooting up in the streets" will get you thrown in an Amsterdam jail just as quickly as it would here in the States.
  6. You should bring some of them to a tailgate at USCF then hey im there and im more than you can handle.. they would have to carry you off on a stretcher and put you in intensive care if i brought friends.... thats way way way more than you can handle........lmao.... Shhhhhiiiiittttt.....

    Damn Cop Dogs

Hell, look at the millions that agree with Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell...there are many idiots in the world that the sane people must drag kicking and screaming into what is right. Three things we now agree on.
  8. The new design is a number of buildings..... just like the old WTC was. The new WTC will have more buildings. However, none of the new buildings will be as tall as the Twin Towers. The new design also incorporates a 1700+ foot spire which will, I believe, make the new WTC spire the tallest ever man-made object. What clinched this design is an all-glass garden at ground level that will cast no shadows every Sept 11th between the time when the first plane hit the first tower to the time the second tower fell. The new design also will incorporate a memorial dedicated to those that lost their lives on Sept. 11th. I read all of this information at CNN.com. You may still be able to access the winning design and specifications there.
  9. Good thing the games are decided out on the field. It does look to me as if the Twins are trying anything and everything to goad the White Sox into saying something negative about them that they can feed on. To date, the Sox really haven't said anything derogatory about the Twins. Don't give the Twinkies anything they can use to pump themselves up. And to the White Sox..... let the pitching and hitting do the talking in 2003. :fyou Gardenhire, Mientkiewicz, and the Twinky Organization
  10. Great news. Ever since about the middle of September of '02, I have not been able to log onto Live365 and listen to a broadcast. I don't know what the hell happened. Listened all last season when I couldn't join you guys or I wasn't working, then one day..... nothing. Still nothing. Looking forward to tuning into you guys when I can
  11. Deal/trade time. No way you put Caballo in CF but you can't bench him to put Borchard in LF either. The way it is now, if JB plays, you have to put him in CF. I was just merely stating that I think JB could be more effective defensively in LF.

    Damn Cop Dogs

I'm going out on a limb here, but maybe because it's illegal And don't blame the cops. They're just doing their job. If pot is so important to you that you're taking it to school, take it from a guy who likes to drink, you have a problem. I never took alcohol to school and I never take alcohol to work. If you can't leave the house without a dimebag, seek help before the addiction and, eventually, the legal bills get out of hand. Smart pot smokers don't drive around with any pot in their car..... especially to school.
  13. i think lee can stay in left and put JB in Center. While I think JB could play CF, he may be just a tad too big to be a superstar defensively. I'd be much happier with JB in LF and Maggs in RF..... I'm drooling now as I think about it
  14. Not only the best, single game of the year..... but, quite possibly, the best single game performance by one player of the year during the MLB regular season. I can watch that game over and over again..... and I get just as jacked watching HR number one, then HR number two as if it was happening all over again. PK was (and still is, IMO) the man that day.

    Bears QB

And, IMHO, the Bears are going to go with Plummer since he will be asking for less $$$$. The Bears will then draft a QB with their first pick. Their third string will be announced in camp.
  16. Did it get us to the WS like Schueler and JR had planned. Nope. Did any of those players do anything for us in the 2000 playoffs? Nope. Has Koch done anything in a White Sox uniform? Nope. When you find a positive (other than having Foulke and trading him for Koch) to the WFT, let me know. None of those players have gotten the Sox to the WS. More than likely, Alvarez and Co. wouldn't have either. So until I see some results, and we have none of the players currently from the nucleus of the WFT, this goes down as a Worst Day in White Sox History.
  17. Nobodies praising Jackson here. In all of the literature I've seen and read on the 1919 Scandal, the complicity of Jackson and Weaver is always a lightning rod for debate. Jackson was an illiterate who knew one thing..... baseball. I agree with CWsox that if he had knowledge of the fix (I know he did) and he took money to throw the games (I think he did) then he is guilty. However, my position is, after all of that, prove to me that Jackson did in fact, outside of his knowledge and acceptance of the money, ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE in the fix. Even the sportswriters who witnessed every game of the 1919 WS and printed the first accusations of a WS fix, agree..... no one can prove that Joe Jackson, outside of knowledge and, possibly, accepting money to throw the WS, purposely booted grounders, dropped flyballs, made errant throws, K'ed on balls that bounced on the ground before crossing homeplate, etc. These are what the other players did. Joe Jackson did none of it. My whole opinion on Joe Jackson is, even though I believe he was guilty of knowledge and accepting money to boot the WS, he didn't participate in physically throwing the WS. 'Nuff said on this subject. And while were at it Roman, lets refrain from praising a cheap ass owner who, as much as you may not want to admit it, played a role in the White Sox choosing to throw the 1919 WS.
  18. That's a historic date in White Sox history..... that's for sure. But worst Sox moment? Yeah..... the White Sox did have to forfeit the 2nd game of a twilight double-header. It was a regular season loss. But, I think DD says more about the people who weren't Sox fans that showed up to cause trouble than the Sox fans that were there for the game. And remember, outside of the Sox marketing department, the Sox had nothing to do with it. I wouldn't mark it up to the Worst Sox Moment. I think a moment that has yet to be mentioned here, especially for the younger fans that could relate, is the White Flag Trade. The WFT was worse in terms of ramifications for the Sox than DD was. JMHO though.
  19. The graphics will be fine. The newer titles always have slightly improved graphics from the older titles. I have yet to purchase a PS2 game where I was disappointed in the graphics.
  20. JM's constant tinkering, which includes his closer by committee bulls*** in 2002, is why I have no faith in JM as the White Sox manager. We aren't even a week into ST and already JM is talking his tinker bulls***. I'm so goddamn sick and tired of seeing a different line-up everyday of the week. Not to mention, no one in the bullpen had a role last year. One game it's Foulke as set-up man..... the next day, he closes..... then he doesn't pitch for a week. Next days closer is Osuna..... followed by Marte. One day Lofton is in CF. The next day, Harris is in CF. And on Sundays, Valentin plays CF while Jimenez and Harris play SS and 2B respectively. Or, maybe Valentin will play 3B. And when Valentin didn't play CF or 3B, he usually sat on the bench in favor of Choice K-layton. Not to mention, the constant batting line-up changes. I could go on...... but I'll stop here. I know it's the players who ultimately decide the outcome of the games, but when no one has a defined role, is it any wonder why the 2002 White Sox finished .500? :fyou Jerry Manuel
  21. Knowledge of the fix doesn't translate into participating in the fix though.
  22. I agree with you there. I find it funny how some on this board rip on, as you call them, Pathetica, but treat KISS as if they are still some kind of "all for the fans" rock band. KISS are the ultimate sellouts. Not to mention, their pathetic attempts to get more money from their loyal fans always reaches new lows. Additionally, the hundreds, maybe thousands, of lawsuits where KISS sued one or more of their fans civilly for any of a number of really petty violations of certain corporate laws. And last but not least, KISS was really never that good. :fyou KISS Name me one band that is not a sell out! If any band was not in it for the money, they would never sign a record deal in the 1st place. That was the goal from the very beginning with KISS. They invented the "sellout". They were the 1st to do the comic books, action figures, trading cards, pinball machines, etc. Then they took it 1000-fold. KISS to me has always been about the fun. If your looking for something political or more serious, go check out U2, not KISS. Actually, I was busting the balls of a friend of mine who posts on these boards. He knows who he is. And he would have seen the humor in it. Glad someone else took it so seriously.....
