That is exactly how it is going to play out because no one is going to claim a catcher who can't throw out baserunnners or hit consistently at the ML level.

Beer Goggles are pretty cool when you think about it. A 2 at 10 but a 10 at 2 thanks to the goggles!

Me and Guido went to Vegas in November and we stuck to the BlackJack tables and the sportsbook when I wasn't passed out from drinking Ketel One

You under-estimate the cheapness of the McCaskey's. Angelo is their puppet. He mayhold the title of GM by Mikey is still ruin..... I mean, running the team. :fyou McCaskey's

now tell me that your own life isnt interesting enough that you have to sit and watch that s***...........please............go out and make your own reality ..........instead of watching someone elses........ i agree TV reality shows are ruining tv I'm f***ing sick and tired of reality TV. Every goddamn week, there is another s***ty-ass reality show starting on TV. SURVIVOR SUCKS! Always has. Never entertained me in the least. Want a real reality TV Survivor? Drop a bunch of rich white guys with suits made of $100 bills in the heart of Chicago's Englewood neighborhood or LA's Compton digs on the first day. Then, whoever survives off the land in a real American ghetto for 30 days would be the winner of Survivor: The States. :fyou Reality TV

While it's a great quote, I hardly think it is that clever. I mean, it isn't hard to link a pitcher named Bong to a team rumored to be stoned more often than not in 2002. Surely Olberman has had better.

True..... but me and you both know Guido could come up with one hell of a rap play list Will Guido be discussing the latest legal troubles for one Trick Daddy? -

maybe we should wait till jose cansecos book comes out to compare notes on the roid thing huh.............does dave name names??? because jose's supposedly does........its due out end of march..........lol....... D Wells has always had diarrhea of the mouth. Like CWsox said he's a braggert..... and braggert's always exaggerate. Given the choice between believing D Wells or J Canseco, I'd believe Canseco. But, didn't Canseco say in an interview last year that 99% of MLB players are on some type of steroid? Maybe they're both egomaniacs and nothing they say should be believed. i just want to see that list so i know who to watch and see if they grow any during the season lol........ Have you seen how much smaller ShamME is now that he is willing to take a steroid test..... or is it just me?

Wasn't the '90 team referred to as the "Cardiac Kids" because of all the 9th inning comebacks?

I liked Torborg a great deal and was angry with him for leaving us. He was a good manager of our team. Torborg was one of my favorite Sox managers. The players seemed to genuinely like playing for him and he had a very approachable demeanor. Bevington was the anti-Torborg. Bev's been the worst thus far.

And we thought you were a big douche both times! Seriously though, RPS knows 3B talent when he sees it. He was big on Crede before I really ever heard of him and everything he said about him (streak hitter, needs to be in the line-up everyday, needed to shorten his swing in the minors) was true. I never should have doubted him.
-
My thoughts exactly. His bat will more than make up for any defensive problems. Personally, I'd like to see JB in LF but with Carlos Lee, that isn't going to happen right now. Somewhere down the road I think it will though.

Those numbers are probably better than anything Choice K-layton put up in the first halves of '01-'02 respectively. Looks like the Sox do what they can to get a scrub at every level of play.

Back in the 80's when they had Monday Night Baseball on ABC, "You Make the Call" was so money. That was the first thing that came to my mind when you mentioned "the little things you never knew."

Witesoxfan already hit on it, but MB admitted numerous times that D Wells insight has been a big part of his success..... and KW doesn't let you forget that MB said that either

They grossed $62.7 million on touring alone in 2000. I don't see a whole lot of "80's hair bands" doing that. Speaking of Aerosmith...they are doing a co-headlining tour with KISS this summer...something like 40 dates. Really????????? s*** , they better be coming here! Poser!
-
Amen. Pretty sad when your life is pot.
-
Won't happen..... especially with JB himself saying that he "needs more work in the minors." Unless he has a lights-out ST and he gives the Tinkerer no choice but to put him down as the starting CF, it isn't going to happen.
-
We worry because there is no reason, especially with the payroll as low as it currently is, why the White Sox cannot offer MB a longterm deal. The last time this happened, we lost a Cy Young Award winner. I know he didn't amount to much after leaving the White Sox, but BlackJack isn't Mark Buehrle either. With the prospect of losing Colon very real after this season, we need to lock up our real number one starter now.
-
Signing Buehrle longterm would be priority number 1 for me if given one day to be the Sox GM
