  1. Nobodies panicking. It isn't like '04 is mirroring '02 and '03 or anything like that!
  2. ShamME the allstar dove for a ball earlier in the game that he had no business diving for that led to an extra base hit and, later on in the game, ShamME the allstar lost yet another pop fly in the sun which led to another extra base hit. I know the second drop scored the 4th run. Can't remember if the first one scored though. I think it did.

George Martin and/or the Beatles wrote the accompanying music. Rappers just use and edit the music that has already been written, pay a users fee to the artist that wrote it, and add lyrics to said edited music adding those finishing b****es, ho's, bling-bling, benjamin's, and chronic elements to the edits while crunked up.

    Turn tables and editing machines?
  5. BTW..... Fleeing and eluding a police officer in a motor vehicle should be classified as a forcible felony IMHO. A speeding car is very much as dangerous a weapon as a bullet fired from a gun. When you're driving a motor vehicle in a wanton and willful, reckless manner either during or after the commission of a crime in an attempt to evade capture by police w/o regard for the safety of those around you, the police departments involved in the chase should have the authority to "take out" the vehicle or the vehicle's operator by any and all means at the police officer's expense. If the criminal dies, he dies. Big f***ing deal.
  6. It won't be. LAPD serves more people than Chicago but less than NYC. Currently, NYPD employs approximately 30,000 police officers. Chicago, approximately 12-13,000. LAPD..... Approximately 6,000. When you call LAPD's 911 emergency line you are literally put on hold and made to wait based on the perceived severity of the call. So come on cop-haters! Keep bashing the LAPD for "beating" the car thief who led the LAPD on a high speed chase attempting to elude apprehension putting all the law-abiding citizens on the road that day in danger. Pretty soon those 6,000 will say "f*** it" too and then who will police LA? The US Army and Marines? BTW..... how did the car thief come up with $25 million? Is that what he would have been paid by a fence for a lifetime of thievery? Just wondering.
  7. Looks like someone just got owned.
  8. Trust me when I say there are plenty of criminals out there hoping for an ass-whipping by the police in hopes of the huge pay day. The legal system in this country if an absolute joke when a car thief running from the police and endangering the life of every person he came into contact with out on the road that day can sue and potentially become a millionaire for refusing to obey a legal command to pull over. Along with his $25 million lawsuit, he should be charged by the LA County States Attorney with one count of attempted murder for every car he came in contact with that day. Plus, it would help if there was a judge with the nads out there who would throw theses types of cases out of court because of the sheer ridiculousness of it all.

It's called playing over your head (albeit for an extended period of time) and finally coming back down to earth.

I with you on that one. Garland is "inconsistency" personified. If he can pitch like he did on Thursday he'd be one of the premier pitchers in the game. You know he can..... he's done it before AND he's done it against better teams. Yeah he's young, but he's had plenty of time to adjust at this point and he hasn't. One start he's Cy Young, the next he's Judy Garland. And he still has a problem pitching over mistakes made in the field..... the true mark of a dominating SP is not letting the mistakes get to you and containing the run's scored (if any at all). Garland and Crede can both take a hike.
  11. CubKilla replied to BrandoFan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I agree with Brando. Garland is too inconsistent to be any more than a #4 or #5 starter and Crede is just f***ing awful. That AB tonight was brutal. Crede has a 2-0 count so why swing at a letter high when you still have the count if THAT pitch is called a strike w/a runner at 3B w/less than 2 outs in a one-run game? He better have a .500 second-half to make up for all the times he's buried the White Sox in the first-half. And at Wrigley this year, w/Crede choking when he was up in a crucial AB, the Sox were effectively (at best) a 5 batter team with Thomas and Maggs out of the line-up and the SP and Crede in the line-up. They were a 4 batter line-up tonight w/Harris getting the start.
  12. Yeah. When Cheney is booed in Idaho or Montana, that's newsworthy.
  13. Osama and Zarqawi gave it "2 thumbs up" too

I listen to Howard every morning. Like always, I don't see your point.

Now more people will get to hear Stern's recent one-sided schlock
  17. Since when is Chess a sport? And most of the honorable mentions are better than most of what made this list. And I cannot stand ANYTHING Notre Dame but how in the hell can the final 15 minutes of "Rudy" be left off..... from the point where the team gave Dick Devine their jerseys to Rudy being carried off the field. And THAT was real life. Piss on this list.
  18. Yeah..... I love posters that preach to people that live and die White Sox baseball that we have to attend more games.

They're not supposed to patronize strip clubs either but that didn't stop Mohammed and friends a few days before their 09/11 suicide attacks. Terrorists, like most politicians, seem to have a hypocritical streak to them. BTW..... most here would probably be shocked at the damage a cooler full of M-80's would do.
  20. Obviously it will have some bearing on FG's decision. I think the requisite deferrals, incentives, and lack of years pitchers seek common to contracts offered up by JR and Co. will have more bearing though.
  21. Ozzie seems to be liked by most around baseball. And those that don't know him personally, seem to respect him as a person and/or were a fan of his during his playing days. If only fandom and respect were all that was needed to sign above average players into a cheap organization, the Sox could be #1 for FA's with Ozzie at the helm. It's just JR and his penny-pinching that need to go.
  22. Why do you consider Thomas a CubKiller?

Not as bad as getting your cock sucked in the Oval Office, while you're married. And both Democrats and Republicans are hypocrites. Deal with it.
