  1. As I became a Sox fan in the early years of Lance Johnson and crew I didnt know any of this so did some research. Speaking at my little league banquet had been Jeff Torberg who became manager and I became a fan and loved the new uniforms. Here is a good article for others who didnt know the history. https://www.southsidesox.com/2012/11/23/3680062/white-sox-history-when-ed-debartolo-almost-bought-the-white-sox
  2. Even though this would be a big nothing of a signing. His Offensive WAR was 1.5 last year. All our second basement combined were .4 so its a huge upgrade. LOL
  3. I will just add 1 player who should be on there. Yonder Alonso. Signed for 2 years and 9 million dollars so we could entice his brother in law to the team. He had positive WAR all prior years and had over 20 HRs in his last 3 full seasons. He proceeded to hit .178, have a -1.5 WAR in only 67 games with a whopping 7 HRs. He was out of baseball the next year.
  4. I would think that waiting to trade Cease would be beneficial in the long run. If these prospects spend more time with their current organization they will develop more. If the sox were to get them prior to the season that will only slow their development in our minor league system. So consider it a plus if we wait to trade Cease at the deadline.
  5. And to think Yasmani's last 2 years mirror Dejong's year last year.
  6. How about this one Hanser Alberto Lenyn Sosa Romy Gonzales Gavin Sheets Lets throw in Seby to round out the infield.
  7. If you go with the O's then look at Connor Norby, a top 2nd base prospect. The Sox havent had a 2nd baseman worth a damn in years. He looks to be a 15-20HR guy with a .280 average. Hit 29 HRS in 2022 and 21 in 2023
  8. Didnt Reese Mcguire do that and he ended up on the Sox because of it.
  9. Bringing up Frazier instead of Reyes was dumb, but par for the course.
  10. Burger up to 30 hrs and 67 rbis. He would have the 2nd best WAR on the sox by a mile. And the fans loved him. This trade made no sense when you hold onto moncada.
  11. Kopech is great. He only let's up solo hrs
  12. We are so bad. Never thought I would say i missed Renteria. But i do.
  13. Tim helping the trade value
  14. No bunt for the 2nd time in 2 days. And of course perez ks
  15. Reyes has 1200 ABs in MLB with a .264 average. After his rookie year he had 4 years over .250. He would instantly be one of or too 5 hitters. Better than grandal, andrus, sheets, seby, colas, perez, burger.
  16. This is what happens when you are afraid to let your dominant starter who let up 3 hits and has 9 Ks, go over 100 pitches. In one of the biggest games of the year
  17. We could have given kopech or lopez for lynn. Instead hahn gave up a stud we didn't know we had. Read that story before. Tatis
