My fiance' and I are heading to Fenway next year for a White Sox series with another couple who are Red Sox fans. Going to make the trip from North Carolina. I went about 20 years ago, I was at a wedding up there and it was the day Ted WIlliams died. Interesting day to be at Fenway, we had the worst seats in the house in the last row of the lower level of right field behind a big post in our sight line. It was still a lot of fun. Hope to have better seats this time.

It also helps that at this time all but 2 AL teams are within 5 games of the wild card and we are 1 of them. In the NL there are 5. So there might be a lot of teams not selling this year. I wonder how many other pitchers there are out the on the market. Keller and Faulter from the pirates. Cabrera and Alcantara from Marlins. But Alcantara would be selling real low. Maybe the twins look to sell off Pablo Lopez or Ryan. I don't think there are that many decent SPs that will be out there. Supply and demand

Vinny had a big game last night. 1-3 and threw a inning of relief. Vinny now has thrown 3 innings this year. Becoming quite the 2 way threat. That big hit raised his average from .101 to .110 on the year. Odds are he will finish the year above the .100 line but I am sure it will be close. He is a career .122 hitter. Give credit to him for having basically no baseball offensive skills but still pulling in 761K in salary. Only in America. I salute you Vinny Crapa.
