I am thinking because of his age, if he would accept a 1 year deal with an option that would be ideal. However, I would think the Sox would have to offer at least 2 years guaranteed to have him bite on an extension.

Dunning is going to be a very solid rotation piece....got to give up talent to get it. Hope we didn't give up much more.

I hesitate because it's only 1 year of Lynn we are trading for but I would not be too upset with this deal. I would prefer spending $ in free agency than giving up prospects. I still do not trust Hahn to not give up the wrong prospects. I also still have a feeling that it is Kopech who will be moved this offseason but not for Lynn.
